Still Annoyed

We are still so annoyed with Brother for his attempts to sabotage things and keep us from attending that fair, and meeting more hard working rabbits.  Really, just because he has issues with work does not mean that he has the right to keep us from interacting with our fellow, hard working bunnies.  And his meeting them wouldn't be a bad thing in our opinion.  It would probably do him a lot of good to stop being so lazy.  We have seen industrious kitties before.  It is NOT required in the job description for cats to be lazy!

Went to the Fair

We got to hop to the fair today and we learned why that rotten Brother was so eager to keep us from attending!  A group of bunnies had a booth set up there!  It was a ring toss booth, where if you got a ring around the neck of a plastic duck bobbing in a kiddy pool full of water, you got a rabbit.  But all of the bunnies were lounging around the kiddy pool, looking very innocent with their back paws tucked out of view, but we are sure in the perfect position to give the pool a nudge and throw off the shots of any humans trying to play the game.  They had recruited some human to assist them and were taking in a ton of money when we saw them.  Also, there were the nicest teddy bunnies who were running a game booth as well.  It was so lovely to see so many hard working rabbits at the fair.  We even convinced one to move in with us, bringing the sibling count to 858.  No wonder Brother didn't want us to attend, though.  He has such issues with the notion of work.

Continuing Rain

The rain continues, keeping us trapped at home.  We have a bit of hope for tomorrow, though, as according to the weatherman things are supposed to be clearer.  Paws crossed that he is right.  The human so wants to go to the fair and we do too!

More Rain

The rain continues, and we're starting to get suspicious about the timing.  Is Brother engaging in rain dances in whatever place he is hiding?  Really, if he is, he needs to stop this instant!  The human has longed to go to this fair in the country for years, and he has no right to spoil it for her with such terrible kitty behavior.  Here's hoping tomorrow is better.

Website

Please ignore any loud shrieks.  We found a lovely website last night providing information on fairs that we might want to sign up to participate in.  Brother is not taking it well, and we fear he might be plotting a way to take out our internet.  Thank goodness we put out some yummy carrot bribes for the outdoor bunnies.  They can stand guard against him.

Fairs

We're checking out the local fairs to try to find the best ones to enter for the teddy beauty contests.  They give lovely prizes of money and ribbons to winning teddy beauty contestants, and we would really like that.  We've just got to figure out which ones give the best odds of our winning.  Not that we doubt that we are the cutest teddies around and that we make the best clothes ever, but still, we would like to pick the best contests.  And we probably should pick a contest that doesn't might an annoying cat picketing and accusing them of encouraging us as well.

No Orders Yet

No sewing orders yet, but we're sure it's only a matter of time until they start rolling in.  While we're waiting, we're thinking of various promotional ideas, and we really think that entering some of our items into the local fairs might be a lovely idea.  If we could get our efforts to win a nice ribbon or two, we are sure it would be wonderful publicity, and would start the orders rushing in.  And by a lovely co-incidence, there is a fair up in the country next week!  The country and a possible ribbon to promote a bunny business venture.  We're sensing a ticked kitten once more!

Print Out

We printed out a photo of one of that large mouse who lives in Florida's bunny friends, and are studying it, trying to figure out how to transfer it onto a quilt.  We're wanting something to enter into that crafts section of the fair next month, and a bunny quilt sounds like it would be different enough to get us a lovely, lovely ribbon.

More Proof of Insantity

I have more proof that escapees from the local mental institution are in charge of the fair this year. They are actually having a bear beauty contest at this thing, and to make it even crazier, they are having this at the same time that they are having a honey and bee competition. Betsy's making plans to enter herself in this bear event now, to help in her plans to raid the honey event. I can just imagine what will happen now. There will not be a single drop of honey left, and all of the bees will be captured and carted off to serve Betsy. And goodness knows what will happen to the poor bears who might be Betsy's competition in the bear beauty contest. I ought to call the funny farm right now, and demand that they round up their escapees now, before it is too late!

The Fair

Disaster struck today. The catalogue, advertising what events they are going to have at the fair for produce arrived today. Needless to say, my rabbit siblings have been pouring over it, and planning out what they want to enter. I just know they're going to try to go for the giant vegetable event this year, and I don't want to imagine what they will try to do, to encourage plant growth that will allow them a victory. I don't even want to think about the bunny beauty contest this fair has planned, as well. Obviously they let the mental patients out to run this event. Why didn't they just call it a bunny encouragement event? Isn't there some law about truth in advertising?

Zucchini and the Fair

The bunnies lagged that zucchini over to the fair this evening, and you won't believe the horror that they heard of. There is a rumor going around that a 400 pound zucchini has been submitted! On the up side, that does mean the rabbits won't get cash to go towards more seeds, but on the down side, they're now planning to hop over for sure to find out how such a big zucchini was produced so they can grow one themselves next year. Really, what is that fair thinking? And even worse, they have their garden selections right next to the judging area for the rabbit beauty contests too! Bunnies will be able to hop over when they're not showing off ear length or cotton like tail appearance on stage! My rabbit siblings are thinking of visiting the beauty show to meet other bunnies and to get a group together to tour the produce displays for ideas!

Zucchini This Evening

The rabbits harvested a zucchini this evening to lag over to the fair tomorrow. It is quite large to say the least, so they ought to have a good shot at winning the prize for biggest zucchini. Of course, the down side of this is that if they get their paws on 100 dollars, they will surely want to spend it on dirt and pots and seeds for more growing. Do you think I should alert the stores not to sell to those bunnies if they come hopping in with large bills?

Giant Zucchini Part 2

The zucchini has grown another inch since the humans have been gone, and I'm very concerned. If this thing can grow an inch in three or four days and the fair isn't for another couple of weeks, I shudder to imagine its size by then. Is any amount of money worth exposure to a vegetable that is so large and suspicious? I think I need to do a house check to make sure all of the neighbors are accounted for.

The Giant Zucchini

The giant zucchini was measured today, and it is already a foot long, with at couple of weeks to go before the fair. In one way, I'm happy, because a really big zucchini will get us a nice cash prize, but on the other hand, I am rather concerned about what the rabbits might be feeding this plant to make it grow so large. I've seen them feeding it milk, but I do have some worries about it's other possible meals. The never did find that criminal from a few weeks ago, you know. I wonder how much growth the average criminal could add to the zucchini plant?

It Gets WORSE!

Just when I was congratulating myself and thinking that the rabbits, bears and polar bears were at the end of the brochure and the fair couldn't possibly get worse, it did. They came to the last page and learned there will be a sheep show at the fair.Needless to say the polar bears were thrilled to see this, especially since the first class is supposed to be a strong wool class. They're planning their fair visit now, and I don't like how they're checking the scissors for sharpness. Those poor, poor sheep. I wonder if they have time to escape their pastures and flee?

In Even Worse News

In even worse news, the polar bears just discovered that there will be a quilt contest at the fair, conveniently for them, right there in the building where they're holding the bear contest. Hasn't what has happened at every quilt show in this area for the last few years taught these foolish people anything? Quilts should be as far from bears as possible because where there is a sign that says bears, there is sure to be a polar bear. Perhaps I need to call the jail and book a cell. I think I'm going to need a good alibi for this fair.

The Fair is Doomed

While looking for more things to enter, the rabbits stumbled across a bear contest that the fair is hosting. Really, the funny farm is slacking off so terribly in their duties, letting people so obviously mentally deranged roam free like this. The bears just sent in a question to see how they can go about entering. I hope this fair has insurance, is all that I can say, because thanks to the lunatics in charge of it, they are totally doomed.

They Entered

The rabbits just filled out forms to enter three cucumbers in the fair. They were so sneaky about it too, using the human's name and pretending that they're one human instead of a group of bunnies. I really ought to turn them in. Of course, on the other hand, I did just see where this fair is having a birdhouse contest. Do you think I can convince the rabbits to gather more rental properties for me if I don't turn them in for impersonating a human?

Giant Zucchini

The fair is actually offering a prize for the producing of a giant zucchini. The winner gets 100 dollars. Hmmmm. Okay, the fair IS an insane place to say the least with all of their encouragement of rabbits, but still money is money. Do you think I need to encourage the bunnies to up the plants' feeding schedule to daily? They have one specimen growing out there right now that's getting alarmingly large.

Feeding the Plants

The more I think of it, the more I worry about that insane fair and the trouble it is going to cause. Ever since they got the idea of entering in their little, bunny brains, the rabbits have been trying to think of how they can improve their produce, and up their chances of winning. They're thinking of upping the plants' feeding schedule and providing them with daily food, so they'll have good specimens to show off at the fair. I shudder to think of what upping their feeding schedule and feeding them daily could do. It's already horrifying enough to see what they're doing when being fed once a day! Can the fair be held accountable for out of control growth and the loss of our poor neighbors' dwellings?
