Continuing Apologies

We're sorry that we haven't posted lately.  As you might have guessed from all of the kitty shrieks, we've been doing a lot of quilting lately.  And earning a nice sum of cash, which hasn't made Brother happy at all.  He's been making a lot of highly unfair remarks, implying that people providing money to rabbits should be ashamed of themselves.  We've been ignoring him.  We find that's the best thing to do, and we've had lots of little batting pieces to use as ear protection, so ignoring him has thankfully proven easier than it has been in the past.  And anyway, we figure his complaints have been increasing because he knows that the time for his recapture is nigh.  We've got the money all ready to fund getting him and dragging him home.  We just have to figure out which hiding place he is in, now, and then we can pounce.  We're kind of suspicious he might be lurking in a hiding place by the teddy adoption center, the better to keep an eye on possible teddy sibling additions.  We really need to hop down there soon to check things out.  If you hear a louder than usual shriek one day soon, you will know we spotted him.

Lack of Posts

We're very, very sorry for our lack of posts on here lately.  Really, we didn't think it had been nearly as long as it apparently has.  We had a computer issue with the laptop charger, and were limited to using the tablet for internet access for awhile.  It was very odd.  The charger was fine, and then suddenly one day we noticed that the cord had a break in it.  If we didn't know better, we would think something, or some feline, to be more precise, had chewed on it in order to damage it.  We've been doing a lot of work nearby of late, though, so surely we would have noticed if that cat had pulled such a stunt, don't you think?  We're back now, though, and with excellent news too!  We sold a big batch of quilts just a few days ago and are hard at work getting another quilt ready for selling so we have high hopes for recapturing Brother and dragging him back here soon.  Please protect your ears accordingly because we  are about to start stitching again.

Apologies for the Noise

We're very sorry for the noise this morning.  We hope it didn't disturb Sunday sermon for anyone.  The human's pastor said something this morning that every Sunday is really a celebration of Easter, and Brother wasn't pleased.  He ranted forever about how he was trying to encourage rabbits and how he was wanting to grow the congregation by getting bunnies to hop in, and how the collection plate would be packed with carrots if such a thing occurred.  Most annoying.  Anyway, we think he's quieted down a bit, but we have to baste some quilts in a little bit in preparation for an insane amount of quilting tomorrow so much noise is anticipated shortly.  Please guard your ears accordingly.

So Sorry!

We're so sorry for the disturbance today.  We probably should have warned you a couple of days ago that such noise was a possibility, but we were hoping for the best.  We got a call a few days ago from someone wanting us to make a quilt for her, and Brother actually took the news kind of well.  He was ranting, of course, but not as much as we feared, and he seemed to be content with hoping that the project would be a complicated, low paying task that would keep us occupied and out of the fabric store and away from sewing other stuff for awhile.  We met with the lady who wants to hire us today, though, and it turns out the project is an easy nine patch, and might grow from one quilt to six.  We are thrilled, and hoping to piece the blocks over the weekend.  And Brother is furious.  Please cover your ears now.  We're expecting a very loud weekend.

Bear Paw Quilt

We're very sorry for any kitty shrieks that might have disturbed you today.  We've been studying a book showing how to make a bear paw quilt, and we are planning to make it, as hopefully we will be teaching this block, and at least one more block showcased in the quilt soon.  Brother has been ranting, though, about how this quilt is just an item to encourage bears, and how it will only serve to attract more siblings to the house.  Really, he's being very annoying, and we're thinking of going out for fabric for the quilt in the next few days, so please protect your ears accordingly.

Hope There was no Ear Damage

We really hope that none of our readers suffered ear damage from the kitty shrieks.  Probably we should have posted and warned you earlier that much noise was a possibility, and to guard your ears accordingly.  We're very sorry about that.  Anyway, our class went very well, and we already have another session booked, which Brother has been ranting and raving about and threatening to damage the cell phone with a truly frightening amount of texts insisting that we stop what we are doing this very instant.  So very annoying.  And then when we hopped up to the store a couple of days ago, to buy a packet of needles, we got to talking to the nicest lady who hired us to finish up the quilting on a quilt for her.  We picked it up this afternoon, if you were curious as to what the loud shrieks were about.  We hope they didn't ruin anyone's dinner.  We're going to have to do some repinning and adjusting, because a naughty cat assaulted the batting on the quilt, but we think that the actual stitching will go well, and should bring in enough money for that embroidery machine we have been dreaming of.  And with what we have earned for our stitching teaching, plus the money for this quilt, we are very close to having the funds to cover Brother's recapture as well!  We are so looking forward to getting him back into our custody once more.  Maybe we will work on that repinning tomorrow.  The sooner we get it, and then the stitching done, the sooner that Brother can be drug back, and we can't let him in until the quilt is finished, and safely back in the care of its human owner.

Continuing Apologies

We would like to offer continuing apologies for the noise today.  We did some work on a quilt for the open house this weekend, and Brother didn't take it well.  We should probably warn you now, we have a long day of sewing scheduled for tomorrow, so please protect your ears accordingly.  Loud kitty shrieks are in the forecast.

Today's Noise

We almost have a quilt together, and have plans for stitching another one tomorrow.  We are expecting a high volume of noise as a result so please guard your ears.  We're very sorry about all of this and if we can figure a way to get that cat to behave, we will certainly try it.

Report

Sorry we haven't posted in a few days.  Just wanted to give you a report of current happenings.  First, Easter went well for a change.  Betsy was unable to escape from the grandhuman's room, so our leader was able to actually deliver his baskets to those they were intended for for a change.  We hope that the shock of actually getting their basket this year wasn't too much for anyone.  Leader was also very impressed with our continuing efforts to find work, which is continuing well.  We dropped in yesterday and talked to the lady in charge of the program again, and got a look at the potential pattern we might be teaching.  It's very nice, and we're really looking forward to teaching it if we're hired for it.  We hope if we are that we will have a chance to assist the students in selecting their fabric as well, instead of their just bringing it in already picked for the class.  That would be so much fun to help with that and show people how to make different colors and textures work together.  Also, we hopped by a nursery yesterday and bought a couple of lovely herbs that we needed, if you were wondering about the kitty shrieking.  And then we visited the homeless shelter and took in a needly panda, bringing our sibling total to 909.  We're thinking of going by the fabric store again tomorrow, so please cover your ears accordingly.  And we might go by the teddy adoption center too, so much kitty shrieking is anticipated.  Brace yourselves.

New Idea

We have a lovely new idea relating to that machine that is designed to speed up quilt cutting.  If we had it, we could offer classes in how to use the machine, to encourage others to purchase them as well, as a time saver and a hand saver.  We think such a class would go over very well, and could pay for the cost of the machine and for the dies that we were thinking of purchasing as well.  We might have to ask about that, should we get hired to teach.  If we could earn back the cost of the machine, we would almost be foolish not to buy it, wouldn't we?  We just hope Brother doesn't learn about this new idea of ours.  We can only imagine the screams that would result.

Sorry for the Weekend

Sorry for all of the noise this weekend.  We hopped out and bought another kid for assembling a second full quilt.  And it was such an excellent price, only ninety-nine cents, too!  We were so thrilled when we spotted it.  If you wondered what the screams were about on Saturday, it might have been due to that, or possibly due to our hopping buy the fabric store in search of more thread.  Or the quilt blocks we cut out and pieced when we got home.  Or the quilt for that lawyer we are close to finishing.  That's probably good news for everyone Brother is disturbing.  We have high hopes that when we present it to the lawyer that he will agree to serve a cease and desist order on that cat to get him to stop harassing us.

Presbunterians

Sorry if the screams disturbed anyone this morning.  One of the local Presbunterian churches was having a sale today.  They're a very bunny friendly denomination so of course we hopped by.  The sold us a lovely, giant sack full of fabric for we believe around twenty cents.  Such a lovely deal.  And then we dropped by another place and got the pattern and fabric to construct an entire quilt.  We are a bit upset with that, though, because when we got home we checked and saw that they had slipped an empty package into the middle where we couldn't see that it was empty, so we are lacking the needed fabric for that block.  We might take it back tomorrow to get that straightened out.  Over all, though, it's been an excellent sewing day for us.  And a bad one for that cat.

Kitty Shrieks Today

Sorry about all of the kitty shrieks today.  We helped the human with some genealogy stuff along with all of our stitching.  It was kind of funny, actually, First Brother was shrieking about hearing the sewing machine going, and demanding we get our paws away from it at once.  The he was shrieking about hearing us online, and was that a genealogy site we just clicked on, and to get away from the computer at once.  And then we picked up a needle and started doing some actual quilting, and he was shrieking about hearing that.  Really, we just did so many things that annoyed him today.  It was quite fun.

Early Wakeup Call

Sorry for the early wakeup call that you might have suffered this morning.  We finished a few throws off, and you can imagine how Brother took it.  We're planning to finish a few more off tomorrow, so you might want to sleep with your ear protection on tonight.  We're planning to start later than we did today but still, we're expecting the shrieks to be really loud, so you should definitely protect yourself while you have the chance.

Hope Warnings Were Heeded

We hope our warnings were heeded and everyone protected their ears.  We are about to finish up a quilt and start on a new one and the kitty shrieks have been absolutely terrible.  And tomorrow isn't shaping up to be much better as we have high hopes of spending all day stitching.  Please guard your ears now.

Blanket Day Shopping

Sorry for the shrieks this afternoon.  We got materials to assemble a quilt for blanket day and Brother didn't take it well.  Please keep your ear protection close at hand next week, because when we were checking out we got a lovely coupon to use next week and we are hoping to get material for several more blankets.  Loud shrieks are looming in the forecast so prepare accordingly.

Blanket Day Plans

We're thinking about hopping to the fabric store tomorrow in search of more fabric for blanket day construction.  Please continue to wear your ear protection accordingly.  We are predicting a large number of kitty shrieks tomorrow.  In addition to fabric, we are thinking about hopping to the teddy adoption center, and you know how badly Brother always takes that.  We apologize in advance for the noise.

Protect Your Ears Now

Please protect your ears now.  We just learned that there is a holiday in a few weeks, devoted to the construction of blankets and quilts and Brother isn't taking the news of this holiday well at all.  He's claiming it's some sort of holiday created by rabbits, and possibly polar bears, and when he finds out who allowed such a holiday to be created, he will see them in court.  We shudder to think what he will be acting like on the actual day in question, which we plan to spend doing some major stitching.   We're even thinking of hopping to a quilt shop that is taking part in this to sew with our fellow stitchers. Please invest in strong ear protection now while you still can.  A major cat shriek fest in due in two weeks.

Tomorrow

We wanted to let you know that we have sewing, likely on quilts, planned for tomorrow.  Please protect your poor ears accordingly.  We expect the kitty shrieks and complaints to be especially loud tomorrow as a result.
