Human Did Go

The human did go to the archive this afternoon, and found the obituaries for Cousin Kenneth, and his brother-in-law Cousin Grover too. We're so pleased about Cousin Grover's demise. With such an unusual name, we feel sure we will find a lot of information about him online. Our brother will not be pleased at all, and now the human is wanting to go back to the archive in the country to look up more stuff. And she wants to visit cousins! We sense our brother's displeasure from here, but really it is his own fault for deserting us, don't you think?

More Plans

Oh, our brother must be so annoyed wherever he's gotten off to. If he's an unborn kitten at the moment, we have much sympathy for his mother, for he's surely spoiling her digestion. The human is thinking of limping to the archive, to look for more information on the family tree, and we just heard talk of how she wants to go visit a cousin, possibly this weekend, as well. That can only lead to additional tree growth. Really, our brother will be so sorry he escaped when we get him back, and he sees the growth of that tree.

Country Again

We went to the country again today, this time to the ARCHIVE! Oh, our brother would be so upset. We took the squirrel with us, and just as our brother feared, he loves scampering amongst the branches of the family tree. We're happy to announce that Cousin Mary Edith is dead, and Cousin Jimmy and his wife too. The tree is sprouting new limbs like crazy. And the human thinks she will call a few funeral homes and cemeteries, to hopefully gather more information come tomorrow. We could probably adjust our long ears a bit to listen for kitty screams at this information being provided, and could find our brother that way for sure.

Went to the Country

We took a little ride to the country, the morning, and oh, our brother would be so unhappy with what we learned. The tomato plants are starting to SPROUT! One of the greenhouses up there is filled with tomato seedlings, just starting to grow. It is time for seed to start! And in continuing happy news, we found some lovely containers that will aid us with our seed starting endeavours. By the time our brother pops up again, it will be time for planting to start. Really, he didn't time this well at all. He'll be here just in time to be put to WORK!

Sunday Kitty Report

Everyone apparently dropped by to feed those kitties today, for they didn't come rushing out when the human went down with packs of snacks for them. Poor human. She was so sad that hardly a kitty showed their pointy ears for her, and ended up in tears again. Really, we have to get a kitty back here soon.

Kitty Report

We took a sack of food down to the kitties at the Burger King this afternoon. In spite of yesterday's ice, they still seem very happy, which makes us sure they broke in some place to get out of the cold. Really, they just ought to move here. Then they could have a cozy, warm dwelling without the life of crime. We're thinking about putting down a food trail to lead them to our doorstep if we can't coax them to jump in the car soon.

Ice Report

The ice arrived this morning, before we could rush off to invite the kitties over. Hopefully they've broken into the Burger King office, though. They're doing a poor job of maintance there, so we're sure they've left plenty of kitty sized entrances. We just hope the cats don't get so fond of nesting in boxes filled with soda cups and fry boxes that they reject the notion of moving in with us. Anyway, the trees and power lines are covered with ice and a power failure might occur at any moment, so we wanted to update you while we still can.

Ice Approaching

The weatherman is calling for ice tomorrow. Oh, we wish that we could have invited all of those kitties to trot up here. We could have converted the old tool shed into a dwelling for them in no time. They could nest on the empty tool shelves and they would have been all snuggly and warm. There was another human loitering around, though, and our teddy cat sister was too shy to get out of the car and extend the invitation to them. Maybe we should rush out in the morning, to invite them up, hopefully before the ice arrives. Poor kitties. They don't need to be in the cold when there's a warm shed they could live in instead.

Burger King Kitties

The human went down to Burger King this evening with a bit of food for the kitties. Here's a picture of one of them.

The grandhuman kept honking, so we couldn't do better with the picture. We were going to get our teddy cat sister to coax all of the kitties into posing for photos, but we didn't have time. Maybe tomorrow. Isn't this kitty so cute, though? And there are several kitties there who look suspiciously like our brother, too.

We Have Decided

We have decided that we must arrange the capture of our brother right away and since he is currently an unborn kitten, it means that all of the mother kitties must be captured as well. Our poor human is still so sad so we really have to get that brother of ours back right away. Luckily, we have the perfect plan. We told Betsy the Bunny Trail was rerouted through the Burger King parking lot, and that our leader is doing practice hops, with loaded baskets included, all this week. She's getting out all of her traps and snares right now to cover the area. Soon those kitties will be in custody, and then once we have our brother back, the Easter Bunny has promised to find the other kitties wonderful homes. We just hope Betsy hurries to set the traps soon, and doesn't get distracted by pies and fries at Burger King.

Human Report

The human is still sobbing, and now she fears she is getting a sinus or ear infection. If she ends up taking anti-histamines, we might not be able to get on much for a bit. Poor human. We have to catch that brother of ours soon. Does anyone know how long it takes for kittens to be born?

Sunday Report

We have located our brother! Our teddy cat sister went out with us today, and she was able to pinpoint his location right away. There are a bunch of kitties who for some reason have decided to make their home outside the local Burger King. At least three of these kitties are in the family way, and we're sure that one of those kittens is going to be our brother in his second life. We just have to wait for his arrival now, and we can scoop him up and drag him back home!

Saturday Report

The human was better for a bit today. Three of us, along with the squirrel, went out with her for breakfast, and a library expedition. We were hopeful we would spot our brother so he could be drug home, and this entire nightmare would be over, but no luck yet. And worse, the human broke down again and there were tears everywhere.

Today's Update

The human is still sobbing, but we dangled some pictures of kittens in front of her, and it seemed to help a tiny bit. Our leader the Easter Bunny is still working on getting a fix on where our brother's trotted off to for his second life. He's narrowed it down to a batch of cats on this website. One of them is him, but we're not sure which one yet. We're thinking of dispatching Betsy to visit them all. When she finds the cat who panics at the sight of her, we'll know we have him.

Bad News

It's the bunnies. We wanted to let you know that our brother passed away this morning. The human is in hysterics. We have issued an alert to the Easter Bunny, and he has contacted Santa, who will email us as soon as our brother pops up on his list in his second life. But until then, we will handle the blog, although updates might be a bit scarce since our human is so freaked.

Brother's Medicine

Our brother decided he didn't want to eat today, and got the humans all freaked, before our human poked online and learned that one in four or five cats develops issues like this due to the thyroid medicine our brother is on. Really, if the odds were for a winning lottery ticket, we would certainly be investing, so we aren't surprised to learn our brother hit the side effects lottery big time. The humans used the annoying syringe to feed our brother a bit, and he's already back to his old self again. He's also stopped the medicine until he can annoy the vet and get the dose adjusted or get a new, better medicine to try. He should be back tomorrow to update you.

Weekend's Approaching Doom

I can't believe those bunnies, posting here about my box issues when there are more serious things to worry about. That mouse who lives in Florida is doing another show on Frankenstein on Sunday. You might remember the last time he did a Frankenstein show, he had the bunnies who live at his park dance up that Frankenstorm as publicity. Who knows what he's got planned this time! It is sure to be a disaster, whatever it is, though, so I suggest everyone prepare to hide now!

Our Brother's Box Woes

Well, our brother amused himself snoozing all weekend, claiming it was nippy and he was hiding in his box house in self defense. Really, it was most annoying, and then he got the human alarmed about him skipping breakfast due to his snoozing. So now he has done it. After laying around, he has managed to get himself constipated! We told him he should be up and moving like all of us bunnies, but he insisted he wanted to snooze, and even tried to claim that he took a larger than normal anti-nausea pill as an excuse. Well, everyone knows what lack of activity leads to, and now our brother will pay for his napping. Do you think he needs more fiber too? You know vegetables have lots and lots of fiber!

Human Napping

The human has been napping all weekend, just as I feared when I saw her taking those pills. And who has been hopping loose? The bunnies! So, to protect myself, I decided to spend the weekend sleeping. The grandhuman was at work, and I certainly didn't want to be on my own in a house with a napping human and bunnies on the prowl. Anyway, the bunnies weren't pleased with me hiding in my bed, and they complained to the humans when the grandhuman got home and our human woke to eat. So I got scolded for skipping breakfast!

Anti-Histamine

The human has been taking her anti-histamines for the last day or so because her allergies have been acting up, and I am a bit concerned. Those things make her sleep excessively, and who is allowed to roam free while she is napping? The bunnies! I just got my neck put back into place! I'm sure it will be out again in no time if I have to watch the lot of them hopping around with no supervision!

Chiropractor Bill

I wonder if I can somehow charge the bunnies, and make them pay my chiropractor bill? I'm sure that my neck got out of alignment due to to having to constantly look over my shoulder, fearing they were hopping up to put me to work. Surely that means they should pay for my adjustments, but they are trying to claim that I obviously pulled my neck poking my head somewhere it didn't belong. That shows what bunnies know. Really, I recall it perfectly well. My issues started getting much worse around the time they scheduled a week worth of work, so I am sure they are to blame.

Today's Visit

Those bunnies have been alarming me about the chiropractor for no reason! I went today, in the company of a couple of bunnies. I was sure it would be awful, and that there would be threats of vegetables, but it was actually rather nice. Really, it was just like being petted. The chiropractor stroked me and ruffled my fur a bit while doing an adjustment or too. Not bad at all. I think I might like this kind of doctor. No needles, no scissors for fur theft, just petting. I definitely like this. Perhaps I'll have to go back!

Chiropractor

The bunnies are plotting to lag me to the chiropractor tomorrow. I'm not sure if I should worry about this or not. One one hand, I understand he's very fond of stretching there, and as a cat, stretches are one of my favorite things. But his office happens to be just down the road from the bear and bunny adoption center. What if they've influenced him in some way? What if he tells me I should convert to vegetarianism? Or take up WORK?

Cat Sweaters

I just saw the most alarming thing, and I am sure it is connected to my stolen tummy fur. Someone is making SWEATERS out of cat fur! SWEATERS! And where are they getting the fur for these sweaters? I'm sure that it is all stolen from poor, innocent felines. There's probably a fur theft ring operating right now out of vet clinics everywhere! Who can I call to file a report about this?

Pharmacist

I think the pharmacist who gave me the super bubble gum medication somehow wandered into the wrong place to work. There is a human hospital and pharmacy right across the river. Obviously this person was meant to work there, giving medication to human children, to make them fond of candy tastes, so they will bite the child bait when Betsy dangles it. But somehow, this human ended up at the pharmacy for my kind instead. Really, do you think I should give her a map showing she is horrible lost?

Not Honey

Well, the new bottle of medicine isn't honey. That's something to be pleased about, I suppose. Unfortunately, for some insane reason, the pharmacy decided that if I objected to their last bottle of bubble gum flavored medication, that just means the bubble gum wasn't strong enough. So now I have a bottle of supper bubble gum flavor! Betsy will take one whiff, and will pounce on me, accusing me of raiding her child bait box, and clearing it out! What was that vet pharmacist thinking?

Meals

I managed to get my paws on FOUR lovely meals today! It's so nice having both humans home to serve me. I am a bit concerned, though. I just did a count of my cans of food, and it seems I only have two more on the shelf. That is much too low a number for me. What if it snowed? I could run out of food!

Friday, January 4, 2013

Medicine Taste

The humans got more of my medication from the pharmacy, and I am a little concerned. This place gave me bubblegum flavor the last time. Bubble gum! I think they intended this stuff for a human child and then pawned it off on me instead. And do you know what the smell of bubble gum attracts? It attracts Betsy, who accused me of getting into her child bait! Anyway, they claimed that this bottle has a sweeter flavor, which is worrying me more than a bit. What if they gave me honey flavor this time? I will be attacked for sure!

Just When I Thought

Just when I thought the human's ankle was better, she started complaining of pain again, and had to limp off to the chiropractor this afternoon. Apparently she did something to the muscle. Goodness knows when it will stop hurting, and now she's talking about staying in bed and resting until it is comfortable again. If she is in bed, who is going to wait upon me? I expect three meals a day, and snacks if I can get them.

Wednesday, January 2, 2013

Today's Report

The human's ankle is feeling better, thank goodness. Really, nothing good can come of her being laid up in bed, not serving me. Not to mention, her being in bed makes her a prime target for the bunnies, hopping in and giving her ideas for those bunny books. Oh, the horrors of the bunny books! And did you know they just gave me the happy news that when they get the things published they're going to host a book signing at the food co-op? And won't it be nice if I'm munching down some of the co-op products by then too? That's a sure sign they're going through with getting me a dish of mushrooms to eat.

Ankle Update

The human is still complaining about her ankle. Just wonderful. How am I to get decent service here if the human is laid up with ice on her ankle? And now she is talking about the writing she is wanting to work on, to start the year off right. If the human is laid up, it can only lead to her having plenty of writing time. And writing time can only lead to encouragement for the bunnies and bears. Not good, not good at all.
