Relative Issues

The humans might have to go and look in on an ill relation this weekend.  You might wonder why that news is resulting in the kitty shouting fest.  Well, this relation has scheduled his illness to occur near libraries and archives the human has been meaning to drop by so if the humans have to go visit, the trip might serve double duty.  And of course Brother isn't pleased at all about it.  We suggest keeping ear protection close at hand this weekend.  We are sure you will need it.

Sorry

We're sorry that we didn't post last night and that tonight's post will be kind of short.  The humans had a relation who had to visit the emergency room last night, requiring them to spend twelve hours there.  We were without internet access as a result, and the human is still very tired so we can't stay on long tonight.

This Afternoon's Shouts

One of the human's relations just had a baby and Brother is up in arms, both because the family tree just sprouted a new limb and because the humans are talking about visiting this child.  The family happens to live near the country cottage and spending the night there after this visit is a possibility.  We will know tomorrow but we are hopeful and Brother is complaining.

Relative Report

The relative is feeling better, so we might head for the teddy adoption center soon, instead of having to pay a sick visit.  But Brother is still ranting.  Honestly, nothing makes him happy.  First he complains we might visit a sick relation, and then he complains that we probably won't have to, and might go somewhere else instead.  Will that cat ever be satisfied?

Human Relation

One of the human's relations is ill, so we are possibly going to be making a little trip for visiting duty at some point this week.  We are hearing the kitty shrieks now, because this relative lives near a genealogy archive AND several lovely fabric places.  And then there is the fact the last time we had to call on this ill relation, several years ago, Brother's food dish, and both of his back up food dishes went empty, and we nearly got to serve him a SALAD!

Human Problem

It looks like recapturing Brother might have been delayed once more.  One of the human's relations' spouses has taken ill, and it looks like the humans might be forced to rush off to offer comfort instead of hurrying to the country to recapture Brother.  Maybe we could email the place we suspect Brother is hiding at, and see if we could put a deposit down on him, to get him held captive until we can get up there to collect him?

This Weekend

We're hoping to go to the mountains, possibly to encounter a cousin and sell him things this weekend.  Our only concern is that kitten.  If he gets any idea we're going up there, he will text and drive us nuts.  We will never be able to enjoy the mountains and the relative and his checkbook for the constant beeping of incoming texts.  Does anyone have any suggestions for how we could sneak out of the house?

Tomorrow

We're hopefully leaving for the country tomorrow, or to visit a relative, or possibly to do both. Brother is not happy at all, although we are sure he has no right to be kicking up such a fuss. He ABANDONED us! He is staying in hiding and refusing to move home like a good kitty should. That gives him no right to complain so. Anyway, we have to get material for two more quilts, so we do hope we visit the relative on the way to the country. That will give us a ton of potential fabric shops to look in.

Tomorrow

The kitty shrieks are going to deafen us. Really, Brother should be ashamed. We don't know how the kitties he is hiding with can stand all of that noise. He's taking our plans for tomorrow entirely the wrong way. We're paying a little visit up town tomorrow, and we will be alarmingly close to the genealogy archives. We might even hop in to look up a few obituaries! But then we might not have time since the humans want to visit that ill relation who makes her home near several fabric stores. Hmmmm, and the last time the humans visited her, the hospital even offered bear sized clothing. We think we like this relation. Heheheehehehe! Really, if Brother wants to stop this, and objects so much, though, he better get his tail back here soon. We leave at 8 in the morning to possibly visit the archives or a relative! He better hurry!

Human Relative

One of the human's relatives has taken ill, and you should have heard the kitty shriek when the humans got the call. Really, just because this human lives conveniently close to several stores carrying fabric, we don't think that gives him the right to declare the entire thing a plot to aid our sewing. Anyway, the humans might have to run up there to visit the ill relation tomorrow. We're packing our stuff now in anticipation, and considering packing our ears with cotton to block the kitty fussing. Really, Brother ran away from us! He has no right to complain so!

More Horrors from the Relative's Visit

I can't believe this. I finally got up the nerve to check what that relative brought for gifts, and you won't believe how horrifying the packages were. She brought a giant bowl of NUTS! NUTS! The squirrel has invaded my table and is busily munching on those right now. He's sure to grow bigger as a result, and there are shells everywhere. I just know I am going to puncture a paw on one. And even worse, she brought a QUILT! So now the polar bears are all fired up, playing with it, and trying to figure out how all of them can best snuggle in it to keep warm. Can you imagine worse presents?

Relative Was Here

One of the human's relatives was just here. I wonder if I can sue for this visit. Relatives dropping in never lead to anything good for me. I'm just glad that my human was in bed at the time or she surely would have used this visit to gather details for that horrible tree of hers. At least the grandhuman doesn't do that. The visiting relation dropped off Christmas presents, though, which makes it likely the human will have to call with her thanks for the gifts soon. She'll probably ask genealogy questions then. I sense tree growth soon!

Research Encouragement

I was right. The human's awful genealogy research has been encouraged. The human who bought that book from her has also offered to play host when the human heads off to visit the state archives! This is awful. Now she has a place to stay. I'm sure that will only make her more eager to go. My one hope is that this human won't agree to host the bunnies as well. That's all the human needs, to have them along as research assistants. They would be able to hop about and gather alarming amounts of material for her, faster than any human, which can't be good.

Even Worse

Oh, and as if isn't bad enough that the bunnies are being rewarded for using their feet and bringing the human good luck, in the car on the way home they reminded the human of one of her cousins with connections to the book industry. And that they would bet anything that this relation would just love to help the human get all of her books published! So now the human is planning to contact the relative right away. Oh, I sense disaster. Talking about the books will only lead to publishing books, and talking to a relation will only lead to potential growth of that awful family tree! A double dose of horror!

Another Human Relative

Just wonderful. Another one of the human's relations, the very one who caused me all of the trouble last year that nearly resulted in my becoming a vegetarian, has taken ill again. The human got the news this morning, and now there is a discussion on going up to look in on this relative going around that is more than a bit alarming. And what in the world am I going to do if the humans do go off to visit? I don't like how the bunnies keep looking at my dish, and then hopping over to check their salad ingredients, as if they are trying to see what sort of salad would fit in there! As soon as the humans depart, they'll be there, trying to force me to convert, I just know it!

Trouble Looming

The human got the news today that a relative has taken ill and is in the hospital. I sense trouble looming for me. You might remember last year, that at about this time, a relative took ill, and the humans trotted off to visit, almost resulting in my conversion to vegetarianism when they stayed away too long and I ran out of food. What do I do if that happens this time? The rabbits are looking at me and chuckling suspiciously. I just know they're making plans to force me into a life of salads and other alarming vegetables. Really, why can't these humans behave and stop causing me such horrible trouble?

This Week

If anyone asks this week, I am not here. You don't know where I am, but I am definitely not here, and thus can't be blamed for the upcoming disasters. Oh, I can't believe all of this. Nick the Cat must have put in some overtime hours, to produce this much bad luck! First, the presbunterian church down the street is having a sale this weekend. The bunnies are all excited, and are looking for a wagon that they can drag behind them, if they have to hop to that one without the humans. Rabbits hopping to a sale unsupervised. I don't want to think what might happen there. They cause enough problems with the minimal supervision the humans offer. Then the human's church is having a sale at the same time. My computer time has already been cut into, as the human works on advertising it, and you know she's going to insist on attending too, and you know the bunnies will insist on accompanying her! Then, to make the entire matter worse, the human has a visiting, genealogist relative in town that she has plans to get together with. The tree will hit heights I can't imagine by week's end, I just know it! So, if anyone asks, I am not here, and can't be held accountable!

Possible Dog-Sitting Scheduled

Oh, this is the stuff of nightmares. The human, who my canine cousins live with, just had a relation who dared to schedule their demise. Such a rat, and if I could, I would have the deceased prosecuted! So now the human is planning to offer to dog-sit the two canines, so they won't be forced to stay home alone for the duration of the funeral! The rabbits have already eagerly offered their assistance with this dog-sitting, and now they're glaring at me, expecting me to raise my paw and offer to help too. And if I don't, you know they'll just sign me up regardless of my wishes. Dog-sitting. What in the world will I do, if other cats find out I have been DOG-SITTING?

Must Visit the Mouse

I don't know what is taking my siblings so long, contacting their large rodent cousin, but really, they need to hurry up. We need to depart right away to visit him. Frankly, we ought to have left yesterday to visit him. Not only did the humans have to go visit that ill relation yesterday, with a possible return trip tomorrow or Monday, but that relation of a relation also managed to die. I'm sure he'll insist upon having a funeral too, which can only lead to great inconvenience for me. I'm sure the human will offer to dog and cat sit, and who knows if the dogs are the civilized sort or not? Their cat siblings have their own feline apartment, after all, so they might have failed to introduce their siblings to decent behavior. Yes, I definitely have to leave right away, before anyone gets the idea into their head that I should devote my time to possibly reforming any delinquents.

Bad Luck Lurking

I am borrowing the cell phone right away, so that the mice can place a long distance call to their cousin, in order to get him to arrange their bus fare to his park. I must flee immediately, and it seems the only reasonable solution. Oh, Nick the Cat himself, the king of bad luck, must have personally dropped in to arrange this. Another of the human's relations has managed to take ill, and now there is much talk of heading up that way to check on this human. The place they're planning to head is the same place they visited back in January, the same place that nearly resulted in my conversion to vegetarianism when the humans didn't return as soon as planned and my food dish became empty along with the back-up dish and the back-up for the back-up dish. The bunnies are rubbing their paws together now, sure that my conversion is at hand. I have to get out while there's still time!
