Bad Luck Almost Dealt With

Those horrible relations of Nick the Cat were almost dealt with this afternoon when one of the dogs next door left their nice fenced enclosure and went trotting over towards the house where those horrible bad luck causing felines have been loitering. And there is no proof I had anything to do with the pup's escape, or his recruitment to try to repel the bad luck either. Those claw marks on the fence lock could have came from anything, and I'm sure they aren't proof that I feline might have picked the lock. At least our neighbors can't prove it and demand a replacement lock. Unfortunately, before the pup could chase Nick the Cat's cousins into the next county, one of the annoying ones, not one that I would ever drop in on, his human spotted him and demanded he come home at once. So those rotten cats are still there. But there is always tomorrow. The humans have to go to work sometime!

Dogs Next Door

The dogs next door have done it this time. They assaulted a cat this afternoon. Of course, this was a terrible crime, and they do deserve to be drug away to jail for assault and cattery, but the assault isn't the worst part! When this crime was committed, the bunnies were in the den, keeping an eye out for me, and I suspect catching a garden show on TV while they were looking. The den window just happens to offer a perfect view of the scene of the crime! The rabbits are all witnesses! You should see how they're hopping about, preparing to give their testimony to the authorities! They're already looking at what earbows and outfits will look best when they have to go to court to testify against the dogs! And if they go to court, they human will likely have to accompany them! The courthouse is right down the street from the archives! I sense more genealogy research looming! Blasted dogs! Why couldn't they have behaved? Those rabbits are very industrious! What if they offer to go to the archive after the dogs are tried, to assist the human with her research? Who knows what might be acomplished!

Novel Horrors Day Two

The human is making alarming noises about needing the computer to crank out another chapter of that rabbit story, so I need to make this post fast. Really, she should be so ashamed of herself for writing this, given how it's encouraging those rabbits. Our poor, misfortunate neighbors, the ones who have the dogs living with them, are going out of town tomorrow. They are going to come home to find that their house has been taken over by the bunnies for gardening purposes inspired by that human's book. Perhaps I ought to send them a note that they should keep going?

The Bamboo has Arrived

The Fedex package was delivered a few minutes ago, and horror of horrors, it contained four bamboo plants for the pandas! How can I warn the poor dogs next door about their upcoming doom? The pandas are planning to root the bamboo within the next day or so, and after that I'm sure it will be ready fast to be moved next door to take over those poor pups' dog house. And to make matters worse, the pandas and rabbits convinced the human that the bamboo must have been a gift from someone so she isn't even suspicious of the package having her name on it!

Bamboo Update

The bunnies just received news that their bamboo is going to ship soon. My one comfort is that it's coming from Puerto Rico so perhaps it will take a bit to get here. I wonder if I should call those poor dogs next door to let them know they need to start packing their bones, tennis balls and leashes to move? The rabbits have their dog house marked down for the future location of the bamboo patch, I'm afraid.

More Food

Those awful plants were fed another sixty ounces of that milky mixture this afternoon. Honestly, they should be so ashamed of themselves, faking powdery mildew just to net extra feedings. It's alarming how much good it's doing them too. The watermelon will be sneaking through the fence by tomorrow, I expect, and then the poor dogs next door are doomed the next time they take a walk.

Stakes

Do you think the dogs next door should worry? The bunnies are thinking of poking up some stakes to mark the next areas they're planning to dig with their little party guests, and some of the ground their talking about is uncomfortably close to those poor pups' home. I can only hope they don't plant watermelon up there, is all that I can say.

Spaghetti Squash

The spaghetti squash that the bunnies moved outside a couple of days ago is sprouting, I'm very sad to say. It seems that the rain we had last night was great for it. Honestly, I shudder to think about how this plant is going to do. I happen to know that spaghetti is known for its length and tangles, and if this plant takes after it, it is sure to be a nightmare. Perhaps I should pop up later and snap photos of the neighbors' dogs. The spaghetti squash is planted in their direction, and I feel missing pup flyers will be needed soon.

HELP! Call the Police! Watermelon Sprouting!

What department of the local police department deals with this? I don't know if anyone remembers, but a couple of months ago, the rabbits got 46 watermelon seed at a buffet that is so guilty of encouraging bunnies, it isn't funny. Anyway, they finally gave up on sprouting them in a bag, and poked them out in the yard. Well, they're SPROUTING like crazy! Who do I have to call to file a report about this? Those poor dogs next door. They are doomed.

Second Map

They drew a second map for additional garden space. About the only good thing is that they haven't dug any of this up yet, although I have a bad feeling they're going to do it soon.

I think the panda contributed some to this one. Do you think the dogs might take it the wrong way when they see how their home has been labeled?

Map

The rabbits drew out a little map of their gardening plans. I hope it doesn't alarm anyone too much.

They say it's not to scale, but it should give you all a pretty good idea of what they're up to. They've got to dig the home for the beans tomorrow, and I shudder to think what will happen to those poor dogs next door when they go digging up that way. They're trying to decide now if they should extend their squash bed in that direction now to get it over with. One bed is already packed with squash, and the other one is just about full. They only have a few more feet they can extend that one, and then they'll have to head for the dogs.

Noted About the Cucumber

Did you know that the cucumber plant sends out these little vines that grab hold of things as they drag their big vines forward in their plot of conquest? I wonder if all of the viney plants have these little grabby vines. If so, our neighbors, or more specifically, our neighbors' dogs, are really in trouble. They're less than fifty feet from a mass of watermelon plants that can grow to a hundred feet. If those vines have the little grabbers, the poor dogs will be captured and never seen again! Should I pop out in the morning and tell them to run now? I might be able to open their gate to aid them in this fleeing.

Wednesday Planting and Seeding Report

The rabbits hurried a bowl of something in the squash family and a bowl of cantaloupe and watermelon outside today. They're talking about hopping out in a bit to put out some more cucumbers, but I'm not sure if they will or not. It's storming, and I don't think they have enough wraps for everyone to keep their ears in place. They planted the cantaloupe and watermelon rather close to one of our poor neighbors. Should I go ahead and tell those poor dogs to snag their humans and run? Anyway, after popping this out, they hurried to refill the bowls with more cucumbers and butternut squash. I really hope our neighbors have their suitcases at the ready.

Bunnies and the Dogs Next Door

The dogs next door have met that bunny that's been hanging out in the backyard and partying with my siblings, and I don't think they like him. Of course, they might have mistaken him for the panda who is planning to put in a bamboo patch where their doghouse used to be, although given that the bunny is a tannish-grey color, I don't know how that could have happened. I just hope they aren't so unhappy due to any gardening plans the rabbit might have shared with them.
