Backyard Bunnies

One of the bunnies who lives in the backyard was out there playing with the nicest squirrel this afternoon.  Really, they were being so cute and now we are kicking ourselves for not grabbing the camera or tablet and filming the bunny/squirrel adorableness for the internet.  We wonder if we should ask the squirrel to move in as well, when we convince a bunny to move in.  Another squirrel sibling.  That would be wonderful!  And please ignore the loud kitty shouts about how we better not open the door and let any siblings in.

Convinced

We are convinced the human's accident last night was part of a trap.  We checked this morning, and found a block from one of the flowerbeds, what we believe the human stumbled on, had been tampered with and moved.  This tampered with block was very near the entrance to the public rabbit restroom, so we fear that some sort of plot to cause a bunny to suffer a sprained paw is in the works, and we are sure Brother is somehow responsible.  Really, just because we gathered the material for two more quilts, and have been hard at work on assembling them, Brother has no right to plot an all out assault on rabbits!  What if he had got one of our bunny friends who live in the backyard with his little trap?

The Fourth

We were hopping that the noise of all of those people blowing up things would force Brother to return home in search of quiet but thanks to the rain the noise was dampened.  Very annoying, although now that we think about it, there might have been a problem if Brother had returned today.  We donated his old box to our new bunny friends so they could have indoor plumbing.  We're sure Brother won't take that news well at all.

Backyard Bunnies

We told the nicest family of bunnies that it was perfectly fine with us if they installed a burrow in the backyard.  Would you believe that cat has been listing such a high rent for the property that bunnies were unable to afford to move in?  Well, since that deserter of a feline isn't here at the moment, we dropped the rent, and now the nicest bunnies are here.  And Brother won't be able to do a thing about it when he returns.  We guaranteed the rent price in a binding contract!

List

I found the human's working list for Christmas. About the only good thing on it is that I don't see anyone with particularly bunny like names so far, but then it's only a working list. Perhaps the bunnies will be adding all of their bunny friends later. I know they're wanting to get something for that rabbit who installed his burrow in our backyard without permission. Really, that will only encourage him to continue his residency here if he's given a present, and probably a sock to hang up for Santa too, but the bunnies are going to insist, I just know it. I really am worried about that list of the human's though. There are a lot of names on it, and you know while she's shopping for all of those people, the bunnies are going to be on the loose, getting into who knows what in the name of helping!

Backyard Bunny

There is a bunny, one of the undomesticated sort, living in our backyard, I am horrified to announce. I spotted him lagging in his bunny furniture a while back, and establishing a burrow, and burrow that he is paying no rent on, I would like to add. Now he's taken to hopping about the yard, and worse yet, posing for the human to take pictures of him! And do you know what the human plans to do with those pictures? She plans to use them to help make a cover for those awful bunny books of hers! This rabbit is assisting with book construction!

New Bunny

There is a new bunny on the loose. Really, he was probably attracted to the neighborhood by the human's bunny jammies or something, for he showed up right after she put them on. My bunny siblings looked out a window this afternoon and spotted this bunny, hopping about the back yard, checking out their garden work. Just perfect. Another gardening rabbit, and he's a smaller bunny too, so I'm sure he's young, and undoubtedly has bunny parents and a ton of rabbit siblings in his burrow! So now there will be more bunnies, to loiter in the backyard, garden and party with my siblings! What did I do to deserve this? Do you know how annoying bunny parties are?

Speaking of Boy Bunnies

Now that I'm discussing male rabbits, I have a sneaking suspicion that the bunny currently amusing himself hopping around our back yard is a guy bunny. I've never seen him with another bunny or with any little baby bunnies, which I think would be around if he was female. So I'm really suspicious that he's a boy. Honestly, what is up with all of these guy bunnies sneaking into the house, and hopping into the yard? With the number of girl bunny sisters I have, surely that counts as some sort of safety hazard!

Further Bunny Update

I just checked the mail the human brought in earlier. Why in the world did we just get a letter for a Mister B. Bunny, that looks like it was forwarded through the mailing system? I think that rabbit is having his mail sent to our address now!

Bunny in the Backyard Update

Besides bothering the neighbors' dogs, I've seen this rabbit hopping around the poolhouse. How can I keep this rabbit from deciding to pack up his stuff and establishing it as his above-ground burrow? I have renters expected for that poolhouse already for Thanksgiving, and I certainly can't have a rabbit trying to sneak in rent free.

Bunnies and the Dogs Next Door

The dogs next door have met that bunny that's been hanging out in the backyard and partying with my siblings, and I don't think they like him. Of course, they might have mistaken him for the panda who is planning to put in a bamboo patch where their doghouse used to be, although given that the bunny is a tannish-grey color, I don't know how that could have happened. I just hope they aren't so unhappy due to any gardening plans the rabbit might have shared with them.

Bunny Party Report

Here's a photo of one of my siblings' party guests.

I think they might be planning to party all night from how this rabbit keeps hanging around. Can the police be called on rabbits having a conga line in the backyard? I hope he doesn't have any little suitcases stuffed somewhere.

BitBY is Back

The bunny in the backyard came hopping back today. He didn't have any little suitcases with him or anything, but I just know that rabbit is up to something, and I suspect it involves installing a burrow someplace! Does anyone know how I can get rent out of him if he illegally moves in? I've seen him looking suspiciously at one of the storage buildings like he thinks it would be a lovely bunny dwelling.
