Report on the Country

The humans went back to the country today. Work is progressing well, and the bunnies are hopeful that they will be able to put me to work on the renovations soon. If I don't get captured and drug up there come Monday, there is much chatter about putting me to work, cleaning off the bamboo stalks from the pandas' flooring party. But that isn't the worst news. For some insane reason, the humans have been allowing Betsy Bear to visit the country with them, and she trotted back today with the happy news that the human who lives one cottage down, and who is constructing an airplane has left for some sort of show. So, his plane is unguarded, and Betsy has plans to snatch it. I can just see it now. She will amuse herself dive bombing the happy picnickers and campers, and snatching their picnic baskets and goodies with a grappling hook! Maybe I ought to offer to handle the bamboo cleaning, before the bunnies can go searching for my leash to drag me to the country. Sure, it will be a pain, making sure the stalks are totally clean, but it's better than possible jail time as an accessory to Betsy's planned crimes!

Sue the Home Improvement Store

First thing Monday, I have to file suit against the home improvement store. You won't believe what that awful place did this evening. I suppose I should have expected something, though, with how rabbit friendly they are, but still, I didn't think they would do something this horrible. They sold the bunnies SIX pieces of wood! Six pieces of wood, all cut into nice, slices, just perfect for poking on the walls without additional work required. It will speed up the work at the country cottage tremendously, and you know those bunnies are going to be trying to draft me to help them with it. What was the home improvement store thinking? I will sue them, and their bird residents too, for not lifting a feather to prevent this disaster!

Served a Carrot

Due to rain, other than collecting a load of lumber, the humans stayed home today. On the up side, it did keep the bunnies from amusing themselves plotting more work for me, but on the down side, it gave them time to plot my conversion into a vegetarian. I thought it was bad, that I suspected they tampered with my food yesterday, mixing vegetable chips in, but today was worse! They served me a CARROT for dinner! Have you ever heard something so frightening? It was bright orange, cut into little round slices. And the bunnies expected me to actually eat it! What in the world am I going to do? The humans are planning to go to the country bright and early tomorrow, leaving me here alone with a ton of rabbits! Who knows what they might plot tomorrow to force me to convert! I'll probably find my dish stuffed with celery next, or perhaps cauliflower!

Food Tampering

The humans went to the country cottage again today, and of course a few rabbits hopped along to offer their assistance, and to make plans for more work for me. Does anyone know how to tell if food has been tampered with? The humans stopped at the store to pick up some food for me on the way up, since they feared they might be late getting back, and then they foolishly left this bag unguarded around the bunnies. I noticed a suspicious orange tint to it when it was poured in my dish, and I know some of the bits of kibble weren't shaped like that the last time I had this. I suspect the bunnies of tampering with things, in the hopes of converting me to a vegetarian! But how can I know for sure, and what in the world am I going to do if they did do something to the food? I had just finished the older stuff, so I might be stuck with this, unless I can get the humans to replace it somehow.

Today's Bad Luck Report

I haven't seen them, but I was disturbed all day by laughter, coming from Nick's relations, who are still camped out on our neighbor's porch. Really, I don't know why our neighbors haven't done something, like evicting those horrible felines, but perhaps they are afraid that if they try, one will amuse itself strolling across their path and giving them horrible luck too. Now that I think of it, that's probably why they've taken to crawling out of their side window, instead of using their perfectly good front door. Anyway, the humans lagged a batch of building supplies to the country cottage today, in preparation for work. My doom is fast approaching. I've already seen the rabbits, starting the search for my leash. And to make matters even worse, the human stopped by a homeless shelter, that she had hopes would have some of those games she likes so, and what happened but she was tackled by a homeless dog of the teddy species, with a tale of woe about his homelessness. I think you can guess how that ended up. I now have 695 siblings.

Whistling

No horrors have struck so far today, but the bunnies are whistling. That alarms me to no end. The visited the place where that large mouse has his nest a few years ago, and met these short people, who had an alarming tendency to whistle while working. So now the bunnies have decided to take up making that annoying noise as they hop about, plotting work, I am sure for me to do. I don't like the way they keep looking at me, and then discussing various work topics for the country cottage at all, and I especially don't like the whispering I caught about looking for my leash, and how nice it would be to go up there bright and early in the morning. I wonder if I have time to find a good hiding place before they pounce?

Another Day of Bad Luck

My bad luck continues. Really, Nick the Cat and his relations should be ashamed of themselves, but oh, no! They're camped on our neighbor's porch, out of reach of the bunnies weapons, laughing at me. The human just came up with an idea to raise some funds, probably for work, or something else that will cause trouble for me. She has an idea that those little seed envelopes could be made and sold for people to use for wedding favors. She's thinking about calling around to wedding places, to see if anyone knows of brides who might be interested in this, or in some other kind of favor creation. Really, money is good, I'll admit, but earning it that way? The rabbits will try to help and will try drafting me to help, and I don't even want to think of what they would do if they got their paws on more seed!

Bad Luck Contunues

My bad luck is continuing. Really, I ought to go to bed, and just stay there until I know that it is better, but then how would I know if things had improved without getting up? Such a dilemma, and it's all the fault of Nick the Cat and his relations. First off, one of them must have hung a sign up somewhere, offering free rent, because bright and early this morning, a bird broke into the attic, and tried to install a nest! It tried to install a nest without paying the slightest bit of rent! Have you ever heard of such terrible freeloading? Then, the human went to a quilt show, which got the polar bears all fired up, of course. I do hope that all of the flocks of sheep in the area were eager to take up the nudist lifestyle. The polar bears got a little box, with enough pre-cut squares to make a proper polar bear quilt, so needless to say, they're eager to get their paws on wool. And then, as if the day wasn't bad enough, the human ran into another bear somewhere, with a tale of woe about homelessness, so naturally, she invited it to move it. I now have 694 siblings!

Should Have Stayed in Bed

I should have stayed in bed, and if I had known what I would be facing today, I certainly would have. I will see Nick the Cat and his entire family in prison for this! They should be ashamed of themselves, causing such terrible luck. I poked my head out this morning, to see what the pandas were up to, and how the eating was coming, when I got hit in the head by a paper airplane. I opened it, and found a flier from one of Nick's cousins, announcing a bad luck special on the way just for me. And the feline in question was sitting on our neighbor's porch, laughing! This was extra special bad luck is all that I can say, for no sooner was I bopped on the head, than the bad luck started to arrive.

First the humans went to pick up the dryer, and of course the bunnies hopped along, to chat with the appliance repairperson's feline employees. They came home smelling of other cats. Apparently they hugged the repair cats. Anyway, the dryer was collected, and worse, the bunnies learned how these felines were converted from lazy, slothful, proper cats, to hard working, industrious animals. Apparently they attended a seminar given by a beaver, on the virtues of work, and the next thing you know, they had changed their lifestyle completely. The bunnies are already making plans to book me to attend this beaver's next talk. Just wonderful. Hours of chatter on nothing but work, and you know there won't be good refreshments, just sticks to gnaw on.

Anyway, they got the dryer, and took it off to the country cottage. It's there than my luck continues on its downward path. They stopped by the local homeless shelter on the way, and of course the human was tackled by animals with tales of woe as soon as she stepped in the door, hoping to find some games. She came home with five more siblings for me, including an elephant! Isn't it bad enough that we're hosting those escaped red pandas? I'm sure the zoo will be furious to learn that an elephant escapee is here too. Anyway, I'm up to 693 siblings.

Then when they reached the cottage, my luck got really bad. It seems that when the humans were last up there, getting things ready for the start of work, they did something wrong, for they arrived to learn that a window had fallen out. They were only able to make a temporary repair, which means they will have to return for sure next week for serious work purposes. Which means that the bunnies have put a rush on the flooring party. They're demanding that the tea order be doubled, to make sure the pandas are nicely caffinated, and able to stay awake to eat for longer stretches of time. And who do you think they expect to make this tea? ME! Like I said, Nick the Cat and his entire family will pay for this!

Eating has Begun

The flooring party has started, I am very sorry to say. The backyard is filled with pandas munching away. Such nightmarish sounds. Munch, munch, munch, sip, munch, munch, munch, sip. I'm sure the neighbors will complain eventually. Even with all of the pandas who are here, it will take them forever to eat up all of that bamboo, I am sure. They all look rather plump and well fed. They can't be that hungry? And what in the world am I going to do until they are done eating? The bunnies are working on a list now, of work assignments to keep the pandas happy and eating. I know I'm on there somewhere, possibly as a water boiler for their tea! Do you know how much tea they drink? I'll be boiling forever!

More Pandas

More pandas arrived today for the flooring party. Really, what in the world are the airports thinking, allowing so many of those giant creatures to just stroll onto flights without a bit of proof that they are traveling in some sort of official capacity as ambassadors? I'm sure they should have called someone to check. But no, they couldn't be bothered. I would have hated to have been on the flights with the pandas. The noise of sipping of tea would have driven me mad for sure. So now every chair in the back yard has a panda in it, anxiously awaiting the start of the flooring party. Which is scheduled to begin tomorrow afternoon, I am very sorry to say. My panda siblings got an email from the red pandas at the zoo, to let them know they will be sailing off as soon as darkness falls tonight. With several stops to raid peoples' bamboo patches along the way, they should be here by afternoon. And then the munching will begin. And how I will sleep, I have no idea!

Panda Party Begins

The first panda arrived for the flooring party today. Really, don't people have common sense on airlines anymore, just letting one of those creatures hop onto a flight, with a claim that they are an official cultural ambassador from China. You would think they would at least want a bit of paperwork proving this, but oh, no. Apparently the round ears, stubby tail and raccoon mask were considered sufficient proof that the panda is in fact some sort of legal ambassador, because they happily let him on the plane. And now he's lounging in the back yard, camped out in a chair, awaiting the start of the party. And now that the first panda is here, I'm sure that horrifying numbers of other pandas will soon follow. I wonder if I have time to order a nice pair of cat sized ear muffs to block out the munching sounds? And the sipping of tea?

Continuing Dryer Horrors

The humans took the old dryer off today, to a human who can hopefully fix it, so it can be moved to the country cottage. No good can come of them having additional appliances up there. A washer is sure to be next, and can only lead to them being able to stay for longer, if the humans don't run out of clothing. Anyway, the bunnies were very excited when they came hopping back from this drop-off. It turns out that there are several cats who dwell with, and are likely employed by the repair human! These cats WORK! Oh, it was frightening to see how excited the bunnies were by this. They're making plans to hop back now, to talk to these cats, and learn how they were converted to the wonders of hard work, industry and a rabbit like lifestyle. And you know why they want to know this. So they can make me convert as well!

Washing and Drying

The humans have a new dryer, obtained through a relation. They got it put in this weekend, resulting in my jailing for an intolerable amount of time while they were moving it. As soon as it was in, the bunnies just had to hop up to it, too, possibly in preparation for a giant amount of laundering of bunny items. And would you believe what they found? Cat prints! Apparently some poor feline.... Oh, it's almost too horrible to print! Some poor feline was made to work, running this dryer in its last location! Naturally the rabbits jumped right on this, and now they're planning to track this cat down, to find out how it was converted to an industrious, hard-working, possibly rabbit-like creature, so they can do the same thing to me, I am sure!

Saturday Update

Well, it didn't actually rain, but due to the strong threat of rain, the humans decided not to go to the country. They said they had concrete to mix, and apparently rain would cause issues with that or something. I was happy at first, but then they went out for a bit, accompanied by the rabbits, and what did they have with them when they returned but two more siblings, freshly escaped from the local mission, for me. I am now up to 688 siblings total. Really, have you ever seen such a frightening number? I'm sure that I'll have 700 by the end of the month at this rate. At least these two lagged their luggage along with them when they moved in. That's the only good thing I can see. They won't demand to go shopping. I don't like how fond they seem of the rabbits, though. They're lounging around with them, helping them put together a burrow warming pack to drop of with those new rabbits in the country. That seems a terrible sign.

Maybe I Should Pray for Rain

I'm trying to decide if I should pray for rain or not. Undoubtedly if we get it, it will be like the last few times, with trees down and threats to power, but if there is no rain, the odds are good that I will be captured bright and early in the morning and drug off to the country cottage to work. And, as if work isn't bad enough, there's that new bunny family that is living up there. I'm sure my rabbit siblings will want to drop by their burrow and meet them, and they will undoubtedly expect me to go along on this visit. Paying a social call on rabbits. I can't think of anything more annoying. First I'll be squished into their burrow, and then you know they won't have good refreshments, just carrots and tomatoes liberated from Farmer Turley. And I will be there forever, too, because my bunny siblings can chatter all day about rabbit issues. Maybe I ought to start praying for rain now. Surely the electric company has things fixed so we won't loose power again. How many trees are left to fall down anyway?

Rapidly Approaching Horrors

I'm going to be working this weekend, I just know it. The bunnies dropped by the home improvement store to get more estimates, and returned with a paper full of figures. Purchases will likely be made tomorrow. Who knows? The rabbits might even have some idea about making me help with these purchases. The store has a number of bird residents, after all, so I'm sure that they will allow felines in. And, to make matters worse, they also stopped by the local homeless shelter before hopping home, and took in another bear. I now have 686 siblings!

Heard the Bunnies

I was strolling to my food dish a bit ago, when I heard the bunnies plotting for this weekend. Plotting to go to the COUNTRY! They got a copy of a book on home improvement from the bookstore this afternoon, and of course they're eager to try out everything they found in the book. And, of course, they have plans to make me assist them with this. I already spotted a bunny getting my leash, so I can be captured and drug along for work purposes. I would start looking for a good hiding place now, but I fear it's too late. There are bears, lurking by all of the best spots, undoubtedly recruited by the bunnies to make sure that I don't try to escape work! I'm DOOMED! How in the world will I explain this to other cats? A number of them live up in the country. What in the world will they think if they see me working?

Traffic Jam

Nick's family continues with their harassment. You will never believe what they have thought up this time. One of them is camped out, right in the middle of the path leading to the bus stop, sitting there, ready to cross the path of any who try to venture down that way. And as everyone knows, bad luck strikes as soon as one of those felines crosses your path. There was a traffic jam of dogs and humans backed up due to that cat! So now I will be forced to take the long way around to get to the bus for a ride to the courthouse. And worse, the bunnies don't take that trail to hop to the library to pick up books on work. They prefer the creek trail, so they haven't been inconvenienced at all. Really, I can't believe this. And where are the police to cite this cat for obstructing a public pathway and impeding the free flow of traffic? That's what I want to know!

Turtle

Nick the Cat and his rotten family have figured another way around the rabbits. I spotted one of them, I believe Nick's cousin, down at the creek today, hanging up signs. The creek is out of range of the rabbits' weapons, so that rotten feline got away scot free. And do you know what those signs said? They said our house was the starting point for the annual turtle natural stroll. The first turtle has already arrived, and is loitering in the back yard, awaiting his friends. And he has his house with him, so I can't even rent him temporary accommodations, something I'm sure Nick knew was bound to annoy me. Well, I will get him! That turtle is tucked up in his shell, undoubtedly online with OUR internet, and I knew I saw a light from his neck hole. He's probably borrowing our power too. Well, he will just poke his head out in the morning to find a bill on his shell for this usage, and as soon as the courthouse opens, I am adding more charges against that awful cat!

Pandas

I thought I would have a bit of time before the panda torture started, but what did I find this morning but a group of my panda siblings surrounding me when I woke up, demanding my assistance in preparing for the arrival of their fellow pandas for the flooring party. So, I have been forced to help them stack bamboo, and drag out tea pots and cups all day. I finally escaped while they were checking the sugar supply and debating on whether or not they should make little sugar molds as special treats for their guests. I would have been there forever if they had forced me to assist with that project. Their party is going to be a giant success, I just know it, and if this party is a success, it means that there will be flooring to be installed. With how much bamboo those pandas have piled up, and if their little friends bring empty bamboo for recycling there will probably be enough bamboo to floor the entire cottage. And you know who the rabbits will expect to help them with that job. I am DOOMED!

Saturday, July 2, 2011

Flooring Party

The bunnies were thrilled with the pandas' offer to provide bamboo for flooring purposes, just like I knew they would be. I am doomed. They've already sent out emails to every panda they could find an address for, and do you know how many pandas have email now? And twitter? Anyway, the pandas invited all of them over for a flooring party, chopsticks and wok provided. I will be awake forever, with the noise of munching and sipping. Do you know how much bamboo will be needed to produce all of the flooring needed for the country cottage? The bunnies were in multiplication heaven working that little fact out. Even if some pandas bring the leftovers of bamboo they've already munched the leaves off of for recycling, there will still be nightmarish amounts of the stuff that will need eaten. And then, when the horror is over, I still won't be able to sleep, because the bunnies hopped around a bit ago to give me my next work assignment. I'm to go over all of the stalks, once the pandas have munched off all of the leaves, to make sure they're nice and smooth for floor board construction. That will take forever! And what in the world am I going to do if another cat sees me, working and not snoozing?

Friday, July 1, 2011

Video Issues Too

Oh, and on top of everything else, I found out something horrifying about flooring today. Someone actually produces flooring made out of BAMBOO! Needless to say, the pandas were thrilled to find out about this, and to see pictures of attractive bamboo flooring on the video the bunnies borrowed. So now the lot of them are offering to harvest all of the bamboo needed to floor the country cottage, and to hand over the leftovers as soon as they've munched down every leaf. They've even said that if necessary to complete this project, they will arrange to have more pandas come over from China to help with the eating. Or possibly arrange for those red pandas at the zoo to sail over. Thanks to those storms Nick the Cat's family caused, the road outside the zoo is flooded, and after the red pandas help themselves to a boat in the kids' play area, my panda siblings are sure they would have clear sailing all the way to our house, with just a trot up the hill from the creek once they hit it. They could even swing by our poor neighbors' house and harvest their bamboo for eating purposes on the way. Horrors, Horrors, Horrors! And the bunnies will accept this offer, I just know it, in order to get free flooring. Do you know how noisy leaf eating is? I will be up forever, with all of the pandas in the backyard, munching away, and passing tea around!

Friday Update

Several of the rabbits hopped to the country today, to take more measurements. Unfortunately, the best measurers are also the best bunnies with the squirt guns full of whitewash, so while they were gone, one of Nick's cousins was able to trot by, to drop off a flier announcing more bad luck on the way. Oh, and wait until you see the bad luck I got this time. I will see that family in court for this! The bunnies came hopping back with seven pages of figures for multiplication! SEVEN!! The bunnies are in multiplication heaven. And even worse, although it's hard to see how something could be worse than all of those figures, the bunnies who went to the country presented me with the happy news that a new family of rabbits have moved into the neighborhood, and have installed their burrow door right in front of the cottage door. It's a big door too, indicating that the bunny who lives there is a fat one, and undoubtedly sassy. Anyway, the new rabbits were out, probably lunching at Farmer Turley's, so my bunny sisters left them a note, welcoming them to the neighborhood, and inviting them to a cottage warming party in a few weeks, a cottage warming that I will be forced to host!

Video

A couple of bunnies took time off from training to get Nick today, to take a hop down to the library to collect more books for the cottage improvement project. They came hopping back, lagging several sacks full, and with the happy news that they had obtained a movie for us to watch together, all about the wonders of flooring and its installation. A movie on flooring. I wonder what rating that thing has? And I suppose it will be too much to hope that the rabbits will provide a sack of popcorn for the viewing.

Roofing

Someone called, selling roofing today, and unfortunately a bunny got her paws on the phone before it could click to the answering machine for censoring. No good will come from this, I am sure. The roofing person thought they were talking to a human and was happy to chatter on forever, giving the bunny details about how to measure for a roof, and the materials required. The lot of them hopped right to multiplying, as soon as the phone call ended, and now they have a list all ready for me, for the work needed for more cottage improvements. And, since cats are much better climbers than rabbits, I'm likely down to do the entire roof solo. Of course, there could be advantages to that. I could lounge up there, taking as long as I wanted, and the bunnies wouldn't be able to hop up to demand I hammer shingles faster. I could even do no work at all, and there would be nothing they could do. Perhaps I ought to go and have a chat with them now, and volunteer for this job!

Can't Decide

The bunnies are hard at work, constructing a fake rabbit's foot. When they're done, they're going to poke it under a bush out in the yard, to lure Nick and his relatives in. They're sure those cats won't be able to resist trying out their bad luck powers against a rabbit's foot, and to make the entire thing extra tempting, they are going to scatter shoes, borrowed from one of our horse siblings, and four leaf clovers all around. I'm not sure who I should be supporting in this, though. If the rabbits defeat Nick, it does mean that I will be drug off to the country to work on cottage improvement projects, but on the other paw, leaving Nick and his family on the loose can only end in disaster, ant invasions, diets and sweaty fur for me. I suppose it really isn't much of a decision. And surely I'll be able to find a hiding place at the cottage, if I'm drug there to be put to work, hopefully a place where my tail won't give me away like all of the hiding places down here!

Rabbits Are Ready

The rabbits are ready for Nick the Cat and his family, and, I have to admit, after seeing them hopping about in the backyard, practicing maneuvers with their little weapons, that I am looking forward to seeing it, even if the end result of that cat being defeated will be my being put to work at various cottage improvement projects. Several of the bunnies are frighteningly good with those weapons. Nick is going to come out of this looking like a skunk for sure, and possibly smelling like one. The bunnies have recruited the penguins into their plans to repel Nick and his relations, and they have been hard at work all day, making something so foul-smelling that I want to remove my nose when I catch just a whiff. I wonder if I could videotape it when Nick faces off with the rabbits? I'm sure it would win some award for humor.

Spoke too Soon Again

Well, I spoke too soon again. This afternoon, the bunnies decided that if they divided up, there would be enough bunnies for guarding the house and garden against Nick and his kind while a few of them hopped to the country cottage to take measurements for impending work. They came back with a paper full of figures for multiplication, a skill that all bunnies might as well have a PhD in. Anyway, they liked the figures, so now they are sitting at the table, paper in paws, mapping out a plan for the permanent defeat of Nick and his bad luck family. If the end result wouldn't involve my being put to work, I would honestly enjoy this. They have weapons out, filled with whitewash, guarenteed to hit a feline at 100 yards, long before they can bring their bad luck into play. Nick will be lucky not to come out of this looking like a skunk, is all that I can say.t

Nick Report

No sign of Nick, or his horrible family. Perhaps the bunnies and their vegetables have frightened that lot off before they could present us with more bad luck. And I have suddenly realized there might be another benefit to the trouble Nick and his relations have amused themselves causing this week. It means the bunnies are a bit nervous about leaving the house, thinking of all of the trouble that cat could cause while they're away. Of course, that does mean I have to deal with them, but on the up side, it means they can't capture me and drag me to the country to WORK! Perhaps I have finally found an upside to Nick's harassment and infliction of bad luck.

Today's Power Update

The power is still on, thank goodness, although I know Nick the Cat and his relations are up to something. Apparently, they weren't able to steal the bulldozer down the street, so they amused themselves snatching rocks instead, and blocking the sewers, and building dams in the creek to create a lovely flood. Needless to say, the bunnies were not amused to learn of this when they woke this morning, since some of the stolen rocks were decorations from their garden. I can only hope they didn't put their names, or our address on those rocks, or we might be in trouble. Anyway, the bunnies made up another list, and now they are all camped out at the windows, keeping a lookout for Nick and his family, armed with carrots and celery to repel them should they poke their pointy black ears up. I almost hope they do, so I can see the attack of the salad ingredients.

Power's Back Part 2

The power is back on again, although I know I spotted one of Nick the Cat's relations, from the sliding glass door, heading in the direction of some power lines that are leaning more than I'm sure is safe. That family is probably planning to snatch the bulldozer at the end of the street in order to knock the lines down, and do away with my electricity again. I just know it. While I still can, though, I will post here. So, has anyone seen this? The human stumbled on it a bit ago, and I let her set up the download, to run while I'm blogging. A game starring cats, and not one of the cute ones with virtual felines to tend either. It's about time, although that kitten in the title sequence does look a bit like one of Nick's relations. I wonder if some of them have gone to work for a game company? I suppose it's good for me if they have sought employment there, though. They will be too busy modeling for this game and sequels to lurk here, helping their family cause bad luck! I think I better keep my paws crossed that this game is a best seller, and spawns a ton of sequels. Perhaps then the kitten who is currently employed there will have to bring the rest of the family into the business, and my bad luck will be over! I urge you all to purchase this the second it comes out!

Brother Posted Too Soon

It's Bebe Here. Our brother posted too soon. Right after he put his post up, the power went out again, so I was dispatched to the roast beef place to post an update. Nick the Cat is a definite suspect in these power issues. If the police weren't so busy, helping people who have trees through their dwellings thanks to that horrible, horrible cat, Pinky would demand they capture him right away, and drag him off to jail. As it is, we're trying to figure out what to do. The house is baking once more. Personally, we have no issues going to stay with the relative that has those two canine offspring, but our brother is sure they would be too chatty for him to cope with. So, we just might have to head for the cool of the country. I do hope Farmer Turley has some tomatoes ready should we get to drop in.

Power's Back

The power's back, and just in time. The human was threatening to go to the country or possibly to stay with the relation who has those naughty canines if she was forced to go without air any longer. And I was thinking I would have to don a pair of fake bunny ears to sneak into the roast beef place to post. I don't trust those rabbits with my blog, when I can't keep a close eye on them. Really, I have got to do something about this. I know Nick the Cat is to blame for all of my troubles. The bunnies were sitting around the table, with markers, crayons and paper penning an apology to their leader for the fact the egg hunt was messed up when the storm started, so I know they are innocent. Which leaves Nick and his horrible family with their bad luck powers as the cause of all of this! They probably thought the cover of complete darkness would be perfect for getting away with more crimes. Anyway, as soon as the giant tree blocking my path is removed, it looks like I'll be catching another ride on the bus to the courthouse to file more charges against that cat. Really, there was no air conditioning! My nice fur was starting to get sweaty!

Power Failure

It's Bebe Bunny here, reporting for our brother. They wouldn't let him into the roast beef place that has internet access, so he dispatched us to let you know what's going on. Our power failed last night, due to a storm, and a storm that we rabbits had nothing to do with, might I add. We do love rain dancing, I'll admit, but we didn't host a dance last night since we were busy trying to figure out how to make things up to our leader since he didn't get to visit the egg hunt like we promised. Nick the Cat is a prime suspect in this. Anyway, we don't have a clue when we will have electricity again, so until it is back on or until our brother finds a disguise to get into the roast beef place to post, we will be in charge of the blog.

Must Return to the Courthouse Tomorrow

Really, at the rate Nick the Cat and that awful family of his is going, I will have to invest in a bus pass. Now I have to go back to the courthouse tomorrow to add more charges to my suit against them, and to file for a restraining order. Really, this is just too much. I happened to look out this evening, and I spotted a member of that horrible family, creeping up the sidewalk, undoubtedly thinking their black fur would provide camouflage, with the contents of an ant farm, to be let loose upon me! Now, thanks to the ant invasion, the humans are planning to limit the amount of food in my dish severely, only putting it in at specific times, since they think that might be what is attracting ants! That sounds suspiciously like a diet to me and nothing good ever comes from those. Nick the Cat is going to pay for this! I don't care how many times I have to take the bus to the courthouse! I will get that cat!

Suit

First thing tomorrow, I am going to file that suit against Nick, and all of his relations for their horrible infliction of bad luck. Really, it will be worth having to go so near the genealogy archives just for the chance to see that cat punished for all of this. Maybe I can even convince someone that causing so much bad luck is a crime, and he should be drug away to jail for a sentence of several of his nine lives? Oh, that would be truly funny! I just can't believe that horrible feline and his delinquent relatives did what they did to the egg hunt. Okay, I wasn't looking forward to being forced to hide eggs, but after all the trouble the bunnies made me go to, having to attend that class on egg hiding, I should have at least been able to use my new skill. I have a diploma and everything, presented to me by the head bunny, after all, even if it was an embarrassing experience on stage with all of those baby bunnies. Yes, Nick the Cat is going to pay for this. I wasn't forced to all of that trouble just to give him the pleasure of spoiling things with his bad luck talents!

Egg Hunt Report

I can't believe this. After all of the work and fuss, preparing for that egg hunt, and being forced to march across a stage in a black robe and hat upon completion of that egg hunting class, the thing was rained out I can't believe this. After all of at trouble I was forced to go to, and then for rain to ruin things. And I know the bunnies weren't to blame. As much as they love rain dancing, they were wanting to impress their leader with this hunt more, so they wouldn't risk anything that could have led to his cotton tail getting wet. I'm sure Nick the Cat and his relations are to blame, with their fondness for causing bad luck. They probably considered it some sort of high achievement in bad luck power, to overrun a rabbit plan, especially one their leader is involved in. His feet are probably considered to have especially strong good luck. Well, those cats will be punished. Bright and early Monday morning, I am marching down, or more likely riding the bus down, to the courthouse to file suit against that entire family for this bad luck harassment!

If the Zoo Asks

If the zoo asks, I was here all day, being forced to work by a batch of rabbits. I didn't even have a moment to look outside. They barely gave me a moment to drop my my food bowl to grab a quick bite before forcing me back to work. I was totally occupied, and thus could have nothing to do with the penguin disaster that hit today. The human had to go by the zoo not once but twice to get those goodie bag coupons. She says it was due to some sort of mix-up, but I know the real reason. I spotted a penguin waddling in to talk to the other penguins, holding an email from the zoo residents, asking for a second trip, since too many penguins were in residence to comfortably fit into the car, hidden under a blanket in the floorboard, in one trip. Two trips, and two car loads of penguins. I am afraid to look outside!

Horrors Continue

The horrors continue to come. The human is popping by the zoo, first thing in the morning, to pick up one of the last items for those awful sacks! The ZOO! I can just imagine what will happen with her dropping by there. While she's inside, picking up things, a crew of penguins will undoubtedly hide in the car to get a free ride over here. I'm sure my penguin siblings are up to something. They've been waddling around acting entirely too happy lately, and now I know why. They must have a party planned for the weekend, and this is how they're going to get their guests here! I won't get a wink of sleep due to party noise the entire time!

Horrors! Horrors! Horrors!

I should report someone for cat cruelty. Oh, the horrors that I have experienced today. The seed envelopes are ready for the seed to be dumped in, and little seals stuck on to close them. The reunion booklet is ready for stapling. The CDs are burned and ready for labeling. So much work, and whenever I thought it was all done, a bunny would hop over with a little checklist, to present me with another chore. Tomorrow's delightful schedule includes stuffing goodie bags for children, and whatever additional tasks the bunnies can think up. They're snoozing now, and I'm sure getting more horrible ideas in their fluffy little heads!

See Our Brother's Been On

Well, I see our brother's been on here once more, complaining. Really, he is just the most difficult creature any of us have ever met. After all our human does for him, isn't it the least he can do to help her with this reunion? We just need him to stick a star on, and then help with poking the big cemetery map labels on the map cover. Really, if he was industrious, he could finish in a few minutes. Honestly, the nerve of him, escaping while our cotton-tails were turned. We'll get him, though, never fear about that. All we have to do is keep an eye on his food dish. He'll eventually have to drop by there.

If the Rabbits Ask

If the rabbits pop on here and ask, I am not here, and you have no idea where I am. Oh, the horrors I have experienced today. I woke up this morning to find a batch of rabbits surrounding me. Before I could flee, they had my leash on me, and the next thing I knew, I was in an assembly line for those horrible cemetery maps again. I finally managed to escape while they were hunting more stars for poking on the map. They'll be hopping around any moment, looking for me, though, so if they ask, I am not here!

More!

I knew the day was going to be bad when I spotted one of Nick the Cat's relations in the backyard, likely robbing my nip patch. Really, I should call the police on that entire family. Anyway, the human went out, and the next thing I know, she's coming back, lagging two more siblings for me. I am now up to 685 siblings. Apparently, she stopped by a homeless shelter to ask directions to a graveyard or something, and these two bears persuaded her to take them in. And worse, she found the graveyard, and the tombstone of the cousin she was looking for, so now she's all excited, talking about getting groups of relations together for a clean-up detail and everything. I'm sure that can only lead to trouble.

What Did I do to the Church?

What did I do so wrong that the church is out to get me? Because surely they think I did something. Oh, you won't believe the horror that I experienced this morning, thanks to that place. The human dropped by this church, that was having some sort of event involving hot dogs, and she was promptly tackled by various animals with tales of woe about being homeless. I now have seven more siblings, including a monkey, a reindeer, a cow, three bears, and worst of all, another polar bear! I am up to 683 siblings. Woe is me! The only comfort I can see is the cow. She's a truly lazy creature. I asked her for milk, thinking I would be able to at least get snacks from her, and she refused, saying she doesn't do that sort of work. Maybe I can get the bunnies interested in reforming this cow into an industrious creature instead of their many plots to make me work? I'm sure they won't be impressed at all by her refusal to work at milking. They probably think she ought to produce milk and churn up cheese and butter from it too. At least I hope so. Tricking them into harassing her is my only hope!

Celebrated too Soon

I celebrated the work being on hold too soon. The bunnies dispatched a rabbit to the store this afternoon to collect another pack, and now they are camped out in front of the printer, a group guarding the ink, and another shooting me dark looks, and scribbling on a little list, undoubtedly plotting more work for me, in retaliation for the fact they suspect me of sabotaging the printer. Really, I don't know why they blame me. Just because they found inky cat paw prints on a piece of paper that was awaiting printing, is no reason to accuse me. Any cat could have left those. And why aren't they accusing Nick the Cat or his relations? They love causing bad luck. I'm sure they would like to try out their bad luck powers against the supposed good luck of rabbits' feet.

Thursday, June 9, 2011

Happy to Announce

I'm happy to announce that the printer ran out of ink before the bunnies could finish off printing the cemetery lists, and other items necessary for goodie bag construction. Needless to say, they're hopping mad and shooting suspicious looks my way. I have no idea why. There are millions of ways I could have ended up with ink on my fur that doesn't involve sabotaging the printer. So, until the ink is replaced, bag construction is on HOLD! No work for me! HURRAY!!

Wednesday, June 8, 2011

Stuffing Report

The bunnies got an early start on stuffing those horrible bags today, hopping in at five in the morning, and waking me up to get started with the stuffing job. FIVE! In the MORNING! What in the world am I going to do if another cat finds out I was awake at five in the morning for something besides a food bowl visit? Anyway, twenty bags were assembled before the bunnies realized that the cemetery lists hadn't been printed out for inclusion with the little maps. So, they had to let me go, while they went to work on those. I can only hope they run out of paper to print the lists, so my return to work is delayed indefinitely!

Goodie Horrors

In my worry over the work horrors the bunnies are plotting for me, the growing goodie horrors slipped my mind. Well, it slipped my mind until the rabbits hopped in to give me the happy news that the time for assembling the goodie bags is at hand. They hope to start with the assembly tomorrow, so they ordered me to report bright and early to the kitchen table to be issued my stuffing assignment. They told me to be there at seven in the morning! Seven! They expect me to be awake at SEVEN! And you know if I don't show up, and try to sleep, they will hunt me down to put me to work. I'm doomed. They already told me that the least I am going to do will be stuffing those dog magazines into bags.

Monday, June 6, 2011

This Afternoon's Report

The rabbits didn't go to the country today. Normally, I would think this was good news, but I'm very afraid it is an alarming disaster. The delay in visiting the country cottage can only give the rabbits more time to plot work for me. They're currently reading Overcoming Laziness, and I don't like the way they keep looking at me, and then scribbling on their little lists at all. I know that book is giving them horrible ideas, and the author should be jailed, for publishing something, devoted to forcing cats to work. Anyway, the bunnies are currently looking for some pillows to rest their big ears on when they go to the cottage, and the claim that as soon as they are purchased, we will leave, so I must figure out how to block pillow purchases from Amazon right away.

Bunnies and the Library

I think the rabbits might have managed to get their paws on a library card of their own. Really, what in the world was that place thinking? The reason I fear this is because I was checking the library history, and an unfamiliar number popped up, that didn't belong to the human or grandhuman. And then, when I went to check it out, I found that this card had been used to borrow alarming numbers of books of interest to rabbits. Gardening books, home improvement books! And worst of all, books on WORK! Hard Work, Getting Hard Work out of Cats, Overcoming Laziness, Improving Cats Through Work! They borrowed books on how to make me work! What was the library thinking? And what in the world am I going to do? I have to get rid of those books before the bunnies can read them and get horrible ideas!

Continuing Bad Luck

I found another note from one of Nick the Cat's relations, happily announcing the arrival of a bad luck special, double my bad luck with no extra charge. Really, those cats ought to be ashamed of themselves, dumping so much bad luck on a fellow feline. Shouldn't they be crossing streets, and terrorizing humans or something? My bad luck is definitely on the upswing, though, because the rabbits are currently lurking by the washing machine, getting ready to wash up a bunch of bedding for use at the country cottage. The church that sold it to them should be ashamed of themselves! I'm sure there are three full sets there, enough bedding to provide for the napping comfort of frightening numbers of rabbits! They might even be able to invite some more bunnies over for a visit, since they will have a nice place for them to snooze! And they expect me to sleep right next to them, too! Sleeping with rabbits. I'm sure I won't get a bit of rest.

The Library and Rabbit Encouragement

I must sue the library right away. I know I have an excellent case against that horrible place. Would you believe that they let the bunnies hop in this afternoon, and hop out again with a giant home improvement book? Really, it took two rabbits carrying it to get it home. I think that says something about the size. What in the world was the library thinking? They ought to be ashamed of themselves. Surely they knew that card wasn't in the bunnies' name, or maybe they went ahead and issued them cards since they seem so fond of the cotton tailed troublemakers. Anyway, the bunnies promptly presented me with the book when they got home, with little sticky notes to highlight various pages, and told me I should start studying it now, since they have high hopes of visiting the country on MONDAY!

Thursday, June 2, 2011

Continuing Woes

The air conditioner is fixed, or at least that's what the repairman is claiming. I'm not sure how far he can be trusted, but since it is slightly cooler in here, I suppose I will try to be a bit less suspicious for the moment. At least I didn't have to do what the rabbits suggested, and tie a fan to my tail to try to keep cool. But, no sooner did the air conditioner repairman leave, than another horror reared its head! The bunnies are wanting to head to the country again in the next day or so! And I know I saw them looking for my leash, which makes me highly suspicious that they plan to drag me along for work purposes. They're going to make me glaze windows and who knows what else. They have several books on home improvement thanks to that horrible library, so I know they have an entire list of chores. And what if another cat sees me?

Wednesday, June 1, 2011

Air Conditioner Woes Continued

The air conditioner is still messed up. The repairman finally arrived, but honestly, I am not optimistic at all. My fur will probably need to be dry cleaned after this. And, to make matters worse, the human is talking about going not to a hotel, but to camp out with a relation, the human my dog cousins live with! She's already working on a story to be allowed to take me along, by talking about how I don't get to see the pups enough, and how we need to get to know each other! Not that I have anything against dogs, but these aren't the most disciplined canines around. I can see it now. They'll keep me up with barking all day, and I'm sure that when I want to be awake and watching television or blogging, they won't cooperate at all. Who knows, they might even make friends with the bunnies! Oh, that would be a disaster! What in the world is the air conditioner repairman doing, failing to fix this quickly before I can be inconvenienced?

Tuesday, May 31, 2011

Air Conditioner

The air conditioner is messed up, undoubtedly due to some human's actions. I would normally accuse the rabbits of causing this problem, but they're so occupied with gardening and planning work for me that I know they couldn't be responsible. Anyway, it's hot in here! My lovely fur coat is getting all sweaty! I was hoping the bunnies would immediately demand to leave and go to a hotel, but they seem to be handling it well. They say their big ears keep them nice and cool, and I know I've seen them occasionally fanning themselves with those long, floppy ears! I will be forced to stay here forever, it looks like, if I must wait for the bunnies to get hot enough to want to leave! I'm doomed! Do you know how much damage sweat can do to fur?

Egg Hiding 101 Lesson 3

My egg hiding humiliation continues. I couldn't even bring myself to speak of the horror that was my third lesson until now. For the third lesson, we had to hide an actual egg. First off, there were rabbits everywhere during this, with all of the parent bunnies taking pictures of their offspring hiding their first egg. And of course my rabbit siblings just had to get into the act, showing up, and letting everyone know they were with the cat. Totally embarrassing. Anyway, I got a B on my hiding place. Honestly, I think I should have gotten a higher mark. The place I hid my egg was excellent. I buried it in a pile of mulch around a tree, but the head bunny said that digging eggs in isn't an established egg hiding practice, and knocked off points. Have you ever heard something so unfair? I didn't get a shovel and bury the thing six feet under! It was covered with a light sprinkling of mulch, is all, and would have been found by a child showing some care! A B! That hiding place should have been an A for sure!

Sunday, May 29, 2011

The Library

The library is encouraging the bunnies. Honestly, I don't know what in the world that place is thinking. They let my rabbit siblings hop in this afternoon, with a card borrowed from a human, and hop out again with a batch of books on home improvement. They've been camped out with them ever since they returned home, plotting work for me, I'm sure. I don't like the way they keep looking at me, and then scribbling on a little list at all. Really, the library should be ashamed. Isn't it bad enough that they let the bunnies get their paws on gardening books? And now this. What's next? A lovely little selection on making cats work? Wait a minute! I just checked the library history. They have that book on interlibrary loan!

Cottage Update

The bunnies ran into a snag in their plans to redecorate the country cottage when the humans hit trouble while doing some work that must be completed before the rabbits can start redecorating. Needless to say, the bunnies were hopping mad when they came home, and I was pleased, thinking I would be spared the torture of the country and sharing a bed with the bunnies. Unfortunately, they quickly disabused me of that notion. A group was waiting for me, when I strolled to my food bowl, to inform me that they looked in a home improvement book, to find out how to get things on track again, and they have a few jobs for me, the first of which involves glazing some windows! Glazing? Isn't that something that is done to donuts? It will surely attract bears, and I don't want to think of what Betsy will do to get her paws on the glazing! HELP!

Cottage Warming Party Planned

I have never been so embarrassed in my life. The humans went to the country cottage today, and naturally the bunnies hopped along with them. Anyway, the bunnies were lounging on the bunk beds, making note of how many rabbits would be able to sleep there, likely right next to me, so their big ears will poke me, and their carrot breath will disturb me, when they spotted a cat outside! Naturally the hopped right out to introduce themselves to this feline, and the next thing I heard, they were hopping home with the happy news that a cottage warming party has been scheduled with ME as the host! They asked every cat in the neighborhood! What in the world am I going to do? It will be humiliating! And what if those other cats find out that the bunnies have made me WORK?

Thursday, May 26, 2011

Should You Live in the Country

Just a warning to those of you who are foolish enough to still live in the country, I heard the humans talking about heading up there, possibly tomorrow or over the weekend. Betsy has already packed her extra large snitching sack in anticipation of robbing all of the happy picnickers, and I am afraid to know what the bunnies are packing. I only hope it isn't my leash to drag me along to be put to work!

Wednesday, May 25, 2011

Ants

Never trust an anteater. We are having a little issue with ants around here, and the anteater who lives here is supposed to be dealing with it. Honestly, I have noticed large quantities of food going missing from my dish, and I know it's the ants who are robbing me. And what is that anteater doing? He's claiming that there are way too many ants for one little anteater to handle munching down on his own. And then he told me that ants were delicious, a bit like potato chips, and suggested I try one. I know I shouldn't have listened, but the human seems to like potato chips, and the anteater's always lurking around her bed, so I thought he might know what he was talking about. Let me tell you now, ants are nothing like potato chips! I am sure potato chips don't bite, and I can't even begin to describe the horrible taste the ant left on my tongue before it escaped! See if I ever listen to an anteater again!

More Country Visits

If you live in the country, I do hope you haven't returned to your home yet, or else I hope you followed my advice and upped your insurance policies, because I heard the human a bit ago, planning to go back in the next few days. And you know Betsy and the bunnies will be going with her. And I'm very afraid that I might end up going too. The bunnies hopped around a big ago with a list of what to bring. I have orders to bring bedding big enough to sleep three, for me and two bunnies, and a towel for visits to the lake! A TOWEL! And are they expecting me to share this towel? Because I don't think they make towels big enough to get those big bunny ears dry!

Another One Escaped

The mission let another one escape. Really, I know that place is supposed to help the homeless out, but why, oh why, do they keep assisting them by letting them move in here? I'm surprised they aren't offering them some sort of bus service, right to our doorstep. Another bear came trotting in this afternoon, bringing my sibling total to 675. I keep trying to comfort myself with the thought that things could be worse, and at least it isn't another bunny, but that isn't helping.

Egg Hiding 101 Lesson 2

I had my second egg hiding class this weekend, the one where they actually let us touch an egg. It wasn't too horrible. The excitement of my baby rabbit classmates was probably the worst part. They were so enthused over getting to touch an actual Easter egg. It was almost embarrassing. Really, you would think they had never seen an egg before, They're rabbits! I'm sure they have. I don't know why this one was such a big deal. It hadn't even been decorated yet. Anyway, I poked it slightly, and my paws didn't get anything annoying on them, so I would say the class worked out okay. The next lesson is on hiding, though, which is sure to be a disaster. Each of us will be issued an egg that we must find a hiding place for, and then the place will be graded!

Redecorating Job

Well, I checked the latest rabbit work list, and I am down for something related to the country cottage renovations. The rabbits have assigned me to be a pillow stuffer and fluffer. My job will be to either poke pillows into cases, or to poke stuffing into pillows, depending upon the pillow type, and then to ensure the pillows are nice and fluffy for placing on the bunk beds. Really! That job is sure to attract polar bears, who will assume that the stuffing is wool that they need for quilt batting. I will be harassed the entire time! And do you know what else is bad about these bunks? The bunnies have the notion that we can share the bunks! They've already issued my sleeping assignment, when we go to the country cottage for a few days, on the top bunk between a Kiley Rabbit and Josie Rabbit! I will be forced to snooze with rabbits!

Friday, May 20, 2011

The Country's Doom

I do hope everyone in the country took advantage of my warning and fled, or at least doubled their insurance. I'm afraid that once again, the humans had a successful visit to the country, so successful, in fact, that they're discussing returning next week. And I am very afraid that a nightmarish amount of rabbits might be hopping along. There are bunk beds up there, you see, and the humans just moved them to a better location, and are making plans to redo them. Plans to redo them with lovely green spreads and pillows! Green is the color of vegetables! Needless to say, the bunnies were thrilled with this planned color, and have already offered their assistance with the redecorating, which means they will all want to hop along to the country to help. And I just know they're going to put me down for some sort of job during this redecoration! I'll probably be removing paint and strings of fabric from my fur forever!

Thursday, May 19, 2011

Dogs!

Okay, Dogs, just what did I do to offend canines so much? Because surely I've done something or you dogs think I've done something, due to the latest horror, a giant stack of magazines, devoted to canines, that are to be stuffed into the goodie bags for that horrible reunion. I was napping, but I suspect a canine of dropping them off. So, dogs, what in the world happened to get all of you so upset with me, that you're devoting your time to encouraging those goodie bags to get bigger?

Wednesday, May 18, 2011

Upcoming Doom for the Country

I just wanted to let the poor, misfortunate people who live in the country, and certainly those poor lake bears, know that the humans are heading up there in a couple of days, likely accompanied by Betsy Bear and massive amounts of rabbits. I suggest you look into moving now, or doubling your insurance policies before it is too late!

Tuesday, May 17, 2011

Egg Hiding 101 has Started

I had my first egg hiding class, and I swear this thing is the stuff of nightmares. The first lesson was evasive hopping, to prevent children from snagging you, and getting the eggs before they can be hidden. Honestly, I have never heard of such, and I don't know why they're letting the Easter Bunny teach this. With as many times as he has been caught by Betsy, and robbed of his candy and chocolate eggs, he obviously has no evasion skills. My poor paws. I think some of the infant rabbits who are my new classmates must have springs in their big feet from how they were hopping around. I'm not sure how, but I know the next lesson will be just as big a disaster. They're teaching proper egg handling, and might let us touch an actual egg next.

Decoration Horrors

I was too horrified to post about it last night, but I thought I would share the shocking news this morning. The cemetery visit yesterday was a huge success, I'm very sad to say, and the human even found new graves to decorate. And, in even worse news, she encountered a bunch of cousins to chatter with, which means that Betsy wasn't supervised at all. I'm sure every insurance agency up there is full this morning, with bears reporting massive losses of honey due to that delinquent. And, that isn't even the worst part. The human obtained a table full of materials for stuffing into those goodie bags, thanks to the welcome centers in the mountains. Really, she got so much that I couldn't see wood with it all on there. And the cousins she met up in the mountains were told her reunion ideas, and they thought it was wonderful! They even offered assistance, which will only lead to the growth of her plans! And to those bunnies insisting I assist with more of the planning too! Really, isn't it against some sort of law to make cats work like that?

Sunday, May 15, 2011

Cemetery Flowers

The cemetery flowers are down and I am very much afraid that the humans are heading off to the mountains to visit a graveyard, or possibly multiple graveyards. I'm sure this can only lead to the growth of that horrible tree, and what in the world will I do if it leads to more reunion invitations being issued? That can only result in more work for me. And then there are the poor mountain bears. Betsy always attends these events, so she can pop by their dens to rob them. I do hope they had time to seek insurance for their impending losses.

Bad Luck

I really ought to take Nick the Cat to court. I poked my head out this afternoon, to find a flyer from one of his relations, saying he was bringing my bad luck today, and the family has been proudly spreading bad luck for over fifteen years now, and to consult with them for all of your bad luck needs. Of course, I didn't know exactly what bad luck this cat was claiming to have caused until the bunnies came hopping home with a koala they found at the homeless shelter up in the country. And, of course, this koala is insisting that a eucalyptus patch should be started right away. Really, Nick the Cat and his kin should be ashamed of themselves, causing bad luck like this, especially to a fellow feline!

Egg Hiding 101

Did you know that horrible class the bunnies have signed me up for actually has a text book? 625 pages! The bunnies just presented it to me, so I can start studying! 625 pages on everything from the proud history of Easter and the Easter bunny, hiding places ranked in order from excellent to lame, proper handling of eggs, basket decoration and managing the egg hunt. Do you know how long it will take me to get through that text, and the bunnies have already informed me that should I fail this egg hiding class, I will be sent to Remedial Egg Hiding!

Egg Hunt Woes Too

Oh, and as if the vegetables weren't enough, the bunnies also came back with several bags of candy, to be stuffed into those eggs for the egg hunt they have planned for the reunion. The thing is going to be a horrible success, I just know it. And do you know what else those rabbits have done, just to make my nightmares worse? They have signed me up for an egg hiding CLASS! Introduction to Egg Hiding 101, which starts next week and is conducted by their leader, the Easter Bunny. They gave me the awful news like it was something to be proud of, the fact I will be a grown feline in a class made up of infant rabbits! Humiliated, I will be totally humiliated! Those bunnies should be ashamed, forcing me to to attend something like this!

Sorry for the Lack of Warning

I'm sorry for the lack of warning. Blogger was acting up last night, or I surely would have posted an alert. The humans went to the country today, and of course, a batch of rabbits hopped along with them. Oh, I will have nightmares for sure when I recall what they came back with. More strawberries, asparagus, garlic, pumpkin and squash seed, a four pack of tomatoes! And it was all such a reasonable price, too. They're thinking about heading back to the country tomorrow to do a bit more discount shopping. Flee now, while you still can! RUN!

Further Neighbor Issues

Oh, and the bunnies' associate, the neighbor who actually gardens, is up to something, too. He's asked the grandhuman for a ride to a doctor's appointment tomorrow. A doctor. Yeah, right. He's probably going to see a batch of bunnies, amusing themselves impersonating a physician. And they'll undoubtedly give him a prescription for gardening. Then the humans will feel sorry for him, since he is claiming illness and will get a plow and dig for him! I can just see it now!

Join Me in Offering Up Prayers

Please join me in offering up prayers for the poor, non-gardening neighbors who are doomed. A bunny hopped out today, and came back with a huge sack of dirt, little holders for the rapidly sprouting seed, two tomato plants, ten strawberries and the horrible news that Walmart is having a sale on their berry bushes, grape vines and other assorted vegetable packs. I think we can safely figure where those bunnies will be tomorrow. They're even talking about hopping to the bus stop should the human be too busy to take them. They moved alarming amounts of seeds to the little seed holders, and promptly replaced it. They added bush champion cucumber. Boston pickling cucumber, Poinsett #76 cucumber, marketmore cucumber, national pickling cucumber, summer choice tomato, big boy tomato, rutgers tomato, triple treat pumpkins and Hungarian hot wax peppers. Our poor neighbors. Our poor, poor neighbors. Please remember them in prayer, for they are about to become homeless.

Cotton

The cotton is sprouting. At first, I thought that would be good news, since at least it would keep the polar bears occupied and not with their wool obsession, but now I have realized there is a problem. The polar bears were thrilled when the bunnies told them that what they think are wool plants were sprouting, and they offered their assistance in the garden right away to get things ready for planting. And then the sheep sent a message, offering their help as well. They figure if the polar bears are growing what they think is wool, they'll leave them alone, so they're willing to do anything to encourage this crop. A flock of them is probably already on their way over to help with digging! We are doomed!

It's Started

It's started. The bunnies checked their little bags this afternoon, and they found the first sprouts! They just poked things into the bags on Saturday! Three days! They have sprouts in three days! We are doomed. We are all doomed! And, even worse, they haven't had a chance to get their paws on a plow yet, so they're talking about hopping to the garden store in the morning to purchase special containers to hold their sprouts until they get the ground plowed up. I expect our gardening neighbor to schedule a setback with his faked illness in the morning, to assist them with this. The cucumbers are sprouting, I'm very sad to say, along with the zucchini, and I believe the bunnies said some of the cantaloupe and honeydew melons. I'm sure the watermelon and pumpkins can't be far behind.

Egg Hunt Horrors Continue

The egg hunt horrors are continuing. The bunnies obtained more eggs this afternoon, for hiding purposes. They now have 168 eggs. And, of course, they are planning to force me to assist in the hiding. Do you know how long that will take? I will be forced to work forever! And, in an even worse bit of news, they got their paws on these little golf clubs shaped like carrots, and are going to offer to set up something with them at the reunion for the human. It is all part of a plot to brainwash people into becoming vegetarians and bunny-lovers, no doubt!

More Trouble!

Not content with having a bag half filled, the rabbits poked more seed in. Here's the additional horror; Mandarian squash, Chinese cucumbers, apple cucumbers also from China, possibly a gift for the Year of the Rabbit, South Korean cucumbers, Belgian cucumbers and the one decent thing the bunnies poked in the bag, cotton. At least if they grow that, some sheep might have their wool spared. I must try to think of it that way.

Offer Up Prayers, Please

Please join me in offering up prayers for our poor, misfortunate, non-gardening neighbors, for they are doomed. Our other neighbor, the bunnies' associate, is doing quite well with his horrible plot. He actually got the grandhuman and the other neighbors to mow his lawn for him today. Plowing can't be far behind. I even saw an email he sent to the rabbits, chuckling about it and thanking his cotton-tailed friends for their excellent advice. In anticipation of the arrival of this plow, the bunnies poked three bags full of seed for starting purposes. I have never seen little bags packed so full. Here's what they have; two packs of butternut squash, straight eight cucumber, spinach, collards, kohlrabi, national pickling cucumber, kale, sweet banana pepper, grand bell pepper, two packs of cauliflower, small gourds, whale gourd, gooseneck gourd, caveman club gourd, apple gourd, some other gourd of a kind I fear to know, two packs of broccoli, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, massive amounts of watermelon, two packs of California wonder peppers, cayenne pepper, long sweet pepper, jalepeno pepper, cabbage, eggplant, gray zucchini, sumter cucumber yellow squash, big Max pumpkin, some assorted pumpkins, regular zucchini, san marzino tomato, cherry tomato, ace tomato, fireball tomato, homestead tomato, super marmande tomato, roma tomato, delicious tomato, cherokee purple tomato, pink tomato, brandywine tomato, Carolina gold tomato, Mr. Stripey tomato, and green Zebra tomato. And they still have space in the bags for more!

The Neighbor

Our neighbor is up to something. I'm not sure exactly what yet, but I know it doesn't bode well, whatever it is. For the last few days, he has been claiming illness, resulting in much worry and feeling sorry for him on the humans' part. I would be sympathetic, but frankly, I am suspicious about the timing of this illness. This human is a gardener, and thus an associate of the RABBITS! I'm sure this is all part of some plot he's cooked up, possibly on the advice of those cotton-tailed troublemakers. The humans are talking about assisting him with digging his garden now, due to how sorry they feel for him, which will surely call for the rental of a plow. And once the plow is done with the neighbor's garden, of course, the bunnies will be able to get their paws on it, to finish preparing their plots. I'm sure those rabbits have put him up to this, probably with a seed bribe, and I hope he feels totally ashamed of himself, when our other, non-gardening neighbors end up homeless!

Rabbit Watch

I've been on rabbit watch today, camping out by the sliding glass door to observe the garden area in the backyard, and you don't want to know the horrors that I have seen. I'm going to mention them anyway, though, so you best shoo small children away right now, or possibly cover your eyes. There have been rabbits hopping around out there like crazy, poking out stakes, tilling soil, and doing mightmarish amounts of tasks they claim are essential to a garden. Really, after seeing all of that, I don't know how I will be able to sleep tonight. I might end up the first feline to ever suffer insomnia.

Egg Hunt Orders

The rabbits issued my egg hunt orders today. They claim since I'm not an experienced egg hider, unlike bunnies, that they would give me an easy assignment, but I checked, and I am down to hide the eggs that are stuffed with cash! Not only will that money attract children, but it's sure to attract Betsy Bear, who will try to snatch it for snack purchase purposes! So much for those rabbits' claim that they were giving me an easy task. And I'm sure they did it on purpose, too. They don't have claws, just pointy carrots, no defense at all against Betsy. They probably expect me to wreck my nice claws defending those eggs for them!

What the Easter bunny Brought

The Easter Bunny hopped by and dropped off another rabbit, this time one of his personal bunny servants! Oh, I can't imagine a worse sign. If he's dropping off one of his personal servants, that must mean he's very impressed with what my delinquent rabbit siblings are plotting. And what they have planned is the stuff of nightmares. They're going all out on that egg hunt for the family reunion. They've already started to stuff the eggs they got with cash, as gifts for the children. Oh, if they know there's money involved, they'll want to hunt those blasted eggs for sure! The egg hunt will be an awful success! And then there's the issue of who will be hiding those eggs. I happened across a picture they drew for the planned hiding job, and I don't like what I saw. True, the picture had a lot of potential hiding places illustrated, but then the bunnies had drawn ME, with a pair of fake rabbit ears on my head, dragging a basket full of eggs around for hiding purposes! They're planning to make me work! They're planning to make me an honorary rabbit! And the more help the Easter Bunny drops off here, the more likely those bunnies are to succeed!

Trouble, I'm Sure

When the human came in, she reported something alarming. There was a rabbit, in a frock coat and vest, only a few blocks away from the house, hopping in this general direction. A bunny in a frock coat and vest? That's their leader! He's coming back! He's probably coming back to bring more seed to my bunny siblings! Or to drop off more rabbits to assist with gardening or egg hunt planning! Do you think I have time to poke out a few of Betsy's snares in hopes of stopping him? But where could I put them? Since it isn't Easter, he won't be taking his usual path, The Bunny Trail, so he could arrive from any direction! I'm doomed!

Country Report

The humans' visit to the country went well yesterday, and now there is much talk about a return trip in a few days. And I do not like how frequently my name is coming up as those bunnies chatter about a return trip. The group of rabbits that hopped off to the country on Saturday had a lovely time, raiding pastures for manure and hopping by poor Farmer Turley's for snacks. I do hope he wasn't too fond of his tomato crops. So naturally, the rabbits want to return, and they want to drag me along. And what do they want me for? for conversion into a VEGETARIAN!! Once they have me out in the country, where I won't have the ability to call for decent food, the bunnies are sure they will have me. I'll have to munch down the vegetables, or possibly have to go to the trouble of hunting down a mouse, and risking a lawsuit from that large rodent in Florida for threatening a relation. If those rabbits have their way, I might be a vegetarian by weekend! Oh, woe is me!

Should You Live in the Country

If you've made the mistake of making your home in the country, RUN! Run now before it is too late! The humans are about to head off for the country cottage to clean up, and Betsy Bear is planning to accompany them! And, in even worse news for the human's poor cousin, Farmer Turley, an alarming number of rabbits seem to be planning to hop along as well! Run while you still have time!

Egg Hunt

The bunnies got a letter from their leader this morning, accepting with pleasure their kind invitation to attend the egg hunt planned for the family reunion. Such a fast reply probably sets some sort of record for a response to correspondence. Just my luck. And the head rabbit was so pleased with this continuation of Easter that he dropped another bunny off here to assist in the hiding of eggs! EGGS!! There are over a hundred plastic eggs here, already, for hiding purposes, along with a basket for transporting eggs, and special tape, to mark off the area in which these eggs are to be hidden. The egg hunt is definitely looking like it is going to occur, and it will be just my luck, that the bunnies will figure out some way to make me assist! They'll probably try to poke a pair of rabbit ears on me, to declare me an honorary bunny, so I will have to help with hiding!

For Once the Rabbits Aren't to Blame

This is a change, but for once, those bunnies aren't to blame for bad weather. I'm sure it will come as a shock to my readers, who know the damage the bunnies have managed to cause, with their rain dances, but they weren't holding a dance last night, no matter what the storms might lead you to suspect. Of course, the only reason they weren't dancing was because they were making plans for something worse. The human is planning an egg hunt for that horrible reunion, to give the children something to do, and the bunnies are wanting to invite their leader to head this activity. They were all occupied yesterday, writing the letter to him, asking him to grace the reunion with his cotton tailed presence, and thus can't be held accountable in any way, shape or form for any bad weather.

Driving

You won't believe the horror the bunnies just found on Facebook! Driver's licenses for dogs, and for cats too! They're already making plans to get me one of the little things right away, and I know that no good can come of my becoming a licensed driver. The bunnies will undoubtedly expect me to drive them places, and even worse, to drive large amounts of seed and plants back to our house to be added to the garden! Is there a way to contact the driver's bureau and to tell them as much as I appreciate the thought, I would just as soon not operate a motor vehicle? The human would probably get into the act too, and I would be forced to drive her on family tree hunts. No, nothing good can come of my driving an automobile, nothing good at all!

Sack Horrors

I was so distracted by the Easter horrors that I almost forgot to tell you about the sack horrors, or maybe I was hopping if I didn't say anything, that somehow the horror would disappear. The bunnies arranged the purchase of 150 sacks to be used as goodie bags for the family reunion last week. That means that goodie bags are definitely going to be constructed, which also means that those rabbits are going to be hopping around sooner or later, expecting me to work and help assemble them! My poor paws. My poor, poor paws. I can feel the blisters already, and the pointy bruises on my backside, from being poked with carrots and ordered to stuff the bags faster!

Monday, April 25, 2011

Today's Weather

The praise from their leader went totally to the bunnies' heads, just like I feared it would. They held a rain dance this afternoon, to encourage garden growth, and things got totally out of hand. Trees are down everywhere, and I don't know what that church that now has a large piece of lumber in their sanctuary will do if they ever find out about the rabbits' involvement. Really, they ought to be ashamed. And you should have seen them running about, when things got out of hand. They were even talking about grabbing me and heading for the storm cellar! We don't have a storm cellar! I was almost captured and forced to sit in the damp, hole of a basement crawlspace!

Easter Success

I'm very sorry to announce the complete, utter success of Easter. I had high hopes that Easter would fail this morning, when I heard one of Betsy's snares go off, and looked out the window to see the rabbits' leader dangling upside down by one of his big feet in it. I was sure he would get annoyed, and go hopping home. But no such luck. The bunnies rushed out and freed him. He did loose all of his candy and chocolate eggs to Betsy, of course, but the gifts for the rabbits were still intact. SEED! Gift certificates for seed and garden stores! An extra rabbit to assist them with planting, and promises to send more bunnies to help soon, with how impressed the head rabbit was by the industry my rabbit siblings have shown thus far! Horrors to numerous to be imagined! And, even worse, the head bunny said he might RETURN! HE was so impressed with what the bunnies have done thus far that he wants to check it out again! What if he brings them more stuff when he drops back in?

Horror Hopping Along

In just a few horrors, horror will come hopping along as the rabbits' leader, the Easter Bunny, comes hopping down the bunny trail to make his annual visit. The bunnies are bouncing around, all excited about it now. I don't know how I'll get any sleep with the noise they're making, not that I think I would get any rest anyway, even if I could doze. I'm sure my sleep would be filled with horrible nightmares about what that rabbit will be bringing for my bunny siblings in his baskets. I just know he has seed for them. Betsy's got snares laid to capture him, of course, but she just wants the candy in his basket. She'll leave the seed for sure, so he'll be able to deliver it as soon as he gets free!

Beginning Garden Horrors Continued

My paws were too sore from being forced to aid in the construction of Welcome signs to do much typing last night, so I couldn't properly share with you the horrors of yesterday. The paws are a bit better this morning, though, so I thought you should be warned. Please lock all small children away now before they can see and become frightened. The bunnies got their paws on more plants yesterday! They are now the proud owners of four pepper plants, and twelve tomatoes! And this is just the start of the gardening season, too! If it's just started, and they already have that many plants, who knows what might happen next! The price for the plants was very reasonable, too, and due to a mix-up on their ticket, the humans might have to go out to the store again in a few days. The rabbits are sure to hop along and get additional plants. Oh, we are all doomed! And they were so inspired by these things that they're starting to talk about sprouting SEED next! Sprouting seed. Oh, woe is me! And what in the world is going to happen when the Easter Bunny arrives and sees their industry? He's sure to lavish rich rewards upon them, rich SEED rewards! Our poor neighbors. I suppose I ought to drag some crates down to their house in a bit, for they will surely need to start packing soon.

Sorry About Last Night

I'm sorry I didn't post last night. I was just about to, when those bunnies pounced on me. Apparently, it's finally occurred to them that they just have to stake out the computer for a bit, should they want to grab me for work purposes. They made me spend the evening assisting them in making a large banner for the weekend, to welcome their leader when he comes hopping around with his little baskets, undoubtedly full of seed to render our poor neighbors homeless. I think I might have to spend Sunday in hiding. The number of signs with gushing words of welcome for the Easter Bunny is positively embarrassing!

Wednesday, April 20, 2011

First Plant

The first plant is now out, in the bunnies' garden, some sort of herb called fennel. Garden season has officially begun. Oh, this is the worst sign possible, the fact the rabbits have started planting so early. It's sure to impress the head rabbit immensely when he comes hopping around on Sunday, that my bunny siblings already have a plant out, earlier than any other rabbit around! And he's sure to reward them accordingly for this accomplishment! Any rewards will likely be of the seed variety, too, which will only lead to more gardening. This year's season is shaping up to be the worst yet! I wonder if I ought to go ahead and talk to the neighbors now, to let them know that they should flee while they still can?

Late Posting

Sorry I'm so late posting tonight. The power cord for the modem went missing. I suspect the bunnies were using it for something plant related. Their leader is going to be hopping around soon, and they're all in a frenzy, determined to show him what good, industrious rabbits they are. I am afraid to think of what he might give them this year as a reward for their bunny industry, seeing as he just finished a film. He'll have nightmarish amounts of cash to pass out to his subjects for garden expenses, I'm sure.

More Issues From that Shower

Really, this horrible event keeps leading to trouble, and it's already over. Anyway, the food and goodies got a ton of praise, and humans saying how nice and clever everything was. Needless to say, those cotton tailed little pests were thrilled to have their industry complimented in this manner, and it's put horrible ideas into their heads, horrible ideas that will lead to work for me! I've already seen the list, so I know this is true. Cupcakes in reunion colors, and it's never had an official color, so that will lead to who knows how much trouble as the bunnies hop around, debating potential colors. And then I'll be captured again, and forced to assist them with the cupcake baking! Or possibly with stand construction. Do you know how many people attend these horrible, horrible events? Many more than attended that shower. My poor paws hurt just thinking of the size of stand that would be needed for cupcakes, and what in the world will I do if another cat sees me working on assembling it? Or worse, in an apron being forced to ferry food from stove to counter for decoration purposes?

Sunday, April 17, 2011

Another Shower Issue

Besides the fact that I was forced to work, I have other issues with that shower. The cupcakes were decorated with little teddy bears, and then there were alarming numbers of songs related to bears on the the CDs that were burned as party favors. If the human had been well enough to attend, she was even thinking about taking a few bears, to loiter decoratively as party atmosphere. I can only assume that the presence of all of these things related to bears is part of some plot, to brainwash people into liking the fluffy things, and wanting to give them homes! Can I be held as an accessory to this plot, since I was forced to assist with it? Believe me, it wasn't my idea!

Ignore Our Brother

It's Bebe, just letting you know that you should ignore our brother and his complaints that we played some sort of evil trick on him. We clearly told him last night, before he faked limping off to bed, that the table was going to be full of party supplies this morning, to make things easier for the human who was transporting them to the shower. There was no reason for him to think the plant he attacked belonged to us, and was for the garden. It is barely SPRING! Garden plants are much smaller at this time of the year, and are in seed cups. This was clearly a full grown flower, in a vase. Our brother had no reason not to figure out what it was!

Rabbits Tricked Me

Those rotten bunnies pulled a cruel trick, something to punish me for my complaints, I am sure. I was checking out the kitchen bright and early this morning, to make sure that those bunnies didn't have a few little projects lined up for me, when I spotted a plant on the table. Of course, I figured it belonged to the bunnies, and was possibly a start for their garden, so I decided to dispose of it at once, and the only way I could think of to do it was to force myself to eat it. I had no more than taken a nibble, when the rabbits came rushing in shouting! Apparently it was their plant, but it was a fake one, they had got out last night after I had gone to bed to rest my paws, to provide more decoration for the shower. A fake plant. Does anyone know what is the best way to remove plastic leaves, and silk petals from your teeth? Not to mention the taste?

Back from Torture

Well, I'm back from my torture, preparing those annoying little goodie bags. Really, the bunnies should be ashamed of themselves, forcing me into working. I don't care if there were only twenty bags. I'm sure that was enough work to give me blisters on my paws! I'm very sorry to say that the baking was a horrible success, too. I'm sure that will only lead to the rabbits trying to find a way to cook again, and to them demanding my assistance! I have to find a better hiding place while I still have time!

Annann Polar Bear Reporting

Our brother has been captured, and drug to assist with baking, and a group of bears is wanting to get on, to assist with the burning of CDs for the baby shower, but we thought we would take a moment to chat first. I see our brother posted a photo of that selfish sheep who refused to share his wool with a batch of needy polar bears. Believe me, it was a hot topic for discussion on all of the polar bear email lists. Just look at him, so fluffy and woolly! He would probably be enough to stuff an entire quilt! But when the polar bears approached him, and asked for his assistance to help a group of poor endangered animals, what did the selfish sheep do but to say no, and then to dart away. It is his fault entirely that he got stuck, and had to be rescued by humans. Never fear, though. We polar bears are resourceful. I heard about it from the bears involved. They waited until the humans got him down, and he was gloating about getting his sheepy face in the news, and then they pounced! All of that wonderful wool is now stuffed into a quilt in a nice den somewhere!

Look What the Polar Bears Did!

Well, I expect those rabbits to come hopping in, to capture me for baking assistance purposes at any moment, just as soon as they finish their breakfast carrots, but before I try to find a workable hiding place, I thought I would show you what a group of polar bears did. Take a look at this!

This poor, poor sheep. The humans involved in the incident think he got stuck on the wire while trying to get to a batch of female sheep, but I know better. There were polar bears, after him for his wool, and he ended up stuck while trying to escape them! Really, don't these humans pay attention? How could they miss the group of bears, lurking about with scissors for shearing purposes?

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

Really, Brother

Hey, it's Josie Rabbit here. Bebe's in the kitchen, getting the chairs set up, so we can reach the counters for baking tomorrow, so she asked me to post. Please ignore everything our brother is saying. He has absolutely no right to be making such a fuss about our planned baking. We have only assigned him one job, that of tying up the goodie bags once we have stuffed them. Really, how much work is that? There are only going to be twenty guests. He could probably be done with the tying in a few minutes, if he showed even a bit of industry! He has absolutely no right to complain at all. He gets to lounge around, while we bake, and he only has to do his part when we're done. Really, he has the easiest job, and he should appreciate our kindness in finding it for him.

Doom Scheduled

My doom is scheduled for tomorrow. The bunnies have decided to spend the day baking, so they can potentially help the human with CD burning on Friday. Oh, I am so doomed! They've even got a little apron out, that they're sure will fit me perfectly! What if some other cat sees me in an apron? I will never live the embarrassment down! And then there's all the baking they have planned. I can feel my fur drying out from the heat just thinking about it? Why, oh why, did the human have to fall ill, and worse, why did she have to accept the bunnies' offer to take over for her?

Tuesday, April 12, 2011

Lock Me Up!

I demand to be locked up right away! I absolutely insist! I thought that the human being ill meant that I was safe from baking related confinement but now the rabbits have poked their long, floppy ears and fuzzy cotton tails into the situation! They hopped into the human's room to let her know how sorry they feel for her, and how, since she is under the weather, and possibly on the verge of laryngitis, that they will be happy to take over, and handle all of the baking! What in the world did I do wrong to deserve torture like this? The bunnies are in the kitchen right now, happily going through cookbooks, to pick various goodies to bake! The human just planned cupcakes, cookies and brownies, an annoying amount of food, but manageable, but now the rabbits are planning a nightmare of cooking! And they have me down to assist them! Why in the world did the human have to get sick? She should be ashamed! Now, instead of lounging locked away from work, while she slaves over a hot oven, I will be expected to be in there, letting the heat ruin my fur, while the bunnies force me to assist them! I know they already have my name on a list somewhere, as a tier or something, to wrap up the favor bags once the bunnies have packed them with baked goodies. And you know, they're going to claim my knots and bows aren't done right, and I'll probably have to redo them a million times! Oh, why did the human have to do this, and take ill?

Monday, April 11, 2011

Cupcake Horror

The human obtained frosting for those horrible cupcakes today. Currently five pounds of it, in a large bowl, are sitting on the kitchen table, taking up valuable space that I could be occupying. Do you know the alarming size that five pounds of frosting is? On the up side, though, the human is currently ill due to some sinus thing, so no baking can be done until she recovers. It is annoying hearing her sniffling and sneezing, of course, but I suppose I could borrow some more wool from Shelia Sheep to stuff in my ears to block the noise.

Saturday Alarm

Sorry I didn't post last night. It was all that I could do to stay on my paws, after the horrors that I experienced. I swear, there is not another kitty around who has as terrible luck as I do. Really, I suspect for my luck to be this terrible continuously, that some member of that horrible Nick the Cat's family is lurking around, spreading bad luck all over the area. I ought to take him to court, I really ought to. Anyway, the human has offered to make cupcakes for a baby shower, since she made the wedding cake for the mother a few years ago. And, like during the wedding cake construction, I will be incarcerated for the duration. My only comfort is that cupcakes surely will not take as long to bake as a three tier cake, so my time in jail will be limited. But, to make things worse, the human is also making favors with this shower, including a baby themed CD for each guest! So, she was online last night looking for CDs to order, to put this music on, and horror of horrors, she found a wonderful sale on them! She ordered two packs, enough to make up CDs for the reunion too! Sniff, sniff, sniff! So now the rabbits are making another list, for an assembly line for the reunion CDs, and once more, my name is on it. Really, I can't turn around in this house anymore, without tripping over a bunny created list, promising more work for me. They ought to be ashamed of themselves, and now they're potentially planning to force me to work as a labeler for 100 CDs!

Friday, April 8, 2011

Sack Update

The bunnies have put their fluffy heads together, and you won't believe the horrible sack plans they have came up with. First, they're wanting to get the reunion name put on the bags, which guarantees they will need to make a large sack purchase soon, so they'll have time to figure out how to get the name on. Then, they're talking about ribbons and things to decorate the sacks, including color-coded ribbons so they will know who gets what sack! Ribbons! And you know they've already got a list for tying these ribbons, probably with my name right at the top!

Thursday, April 7, 2011

Sacks!

Doomed, I am doomed! A rabbit went hopping off, to check out the produce market for sales on plants and other garden materials this afternoon, and you will never believe the horror that the bunny had in her paws, when she came hopping back! She had a SACK! A sack to be used for goodie bag construction! There is just one sack right now, because she wanted to get the opinions of all of her fellow rabbits on it first, but they all seemed thrilled with it, so they're probably going to get a group together tomorrow, to hop back, to get the rest of the sacks they need to the goodie bags. I am doomed! Obtaining sacks mean those bags are definitely going to be constructed, which means those rabbits are definitely going to try to make me work! And even worse, the sacks are very reasonably priced, which means the bunnies will likely be able to purchase garden supplies with the savings!

Further Horrors

You won't believe the horror that arrived in the human's email a few hours ago. The theater where the rabbits went to see their leader on the big screen just sent the human a COUPON! So now the human is wanting to to the theater, and horror of horrors, since the she says the bunnies have been so GOOD lately, she's thinking of letting them see their leader's film again! Oh, what did I do wrong? If those bunnies get to hop to that horrible movie, they will surely expect me to come along as well! Another afternoon ruined, by being forced into a theater full of rabbits! What did I do wrong to deserve such punishment?

Thought I Would Show Some Horror

I thought since the rabbits have amused themselves posting frightening pictures here, that I would offer up something truely frightening. Please make sure that no small children are nearby before looking at this. I give you

The Goodie Bag Items!

I hope the sight of all of this stuff, awaiting packing into various bags doesn't frighten anyone too much. And, I am very much afraid that this is just the start of the items to be included in the bag. This photo was taken when the human had just started gathering things, so she has at least three times the amount of materials now.

Condo Takeover

The rabbits have taken over my kitty condo, and I need advice on how to evict them. They decided it was just the perfect place to model their new clothing, so that alterations could be made, so I've had a bunny perched on the ceiling of the condo all day, trying on various outfits, while another bunny hops around, with pins and chalk and who knows what else, seeing where the alterations will need to be made, to get the best bunny fit! Does anyone know how in the world I can evict this fashion show?

Today's Rabbit Report

One of the bunnies hopped out this afternoon, and came back with a load of clothing in rabbit sizes and styles, I'm very annoyed to announce. The bunnies are all hopping around right now, trying it on, and making notes about alterations that are needed, and additional outfits that should be purchased when they go out again. Just perfect. Alternations mean sewing, and that will undoubtedly get the polar bears all fired up too. I might as well cancel my scheduled naps for tomorrow right now, for thanks to my siblings, I'm sure not to get in a single wink!

Sibling Update

A church let another homeless animal escape today. I am now up to 673 siblings. On the up side, this one is a leopard, which means she is a fellow feline, but on the down side, she seemed rather pleased to meet all of the bunnies, and she promptly started chattering with them about ear accessories and fashion. Somehow, this doesn't seem like the best sign to me. The bunnies are getting other cats on their side now! What if they convince this leopard that she should assist them in forcing me to work?

The Bunny Movie

The rabbits attended their leader's film early this afternoon. What a nightmare. Carrot juice everywhere, and carrot sticks, and I'm afraid to think of what other veggies the theater served in little sacks, in honor of the occasion. Really, they ought to be ashamed of themselves, and I ought to report them to someone! They actually gave this bunny movie a family friendly rating! Family friendly! Such rabbit horror deserves nothing less than an X rating!
