Sack Horrors
I was so distracted by the Easter horrors that I almost forgot to tell you about the sack horrors, or maybe I was hopping if I didn't say anything, that somehow the horror would disappear. The bunnies arranged the purchase of 150 sacks to be used as goodie bags for the family reunion last week. That means that goodie bags are definitely going to be constructed, which also means that those rabbits are going to be hopping around sooner or later, expecting me to work and help assemble them! My poor paws. My poor, poor paws. I can feel the blisters already, and the pointy bruises on my backside, from being poked with carrots and ordered to stuff the bags faster!

Sack Update
The bunnies have put their fluffy heads together, and you won't believe the horrible sack plans they have came up with. First, they're wanting to get the reunion name put on the bags, which guarantees they will need to make a large sack purchase soon, so they'll have time to figure out how to get the name on. Then, they're talking about ribbons and things to decorate the sacks, including color-coded ribbons so they will know who gets what sack! Ribbons! And you know they've already got a list for tying these ribbons, probably with my name right at the top!

Sacks!
Doomed, I am doomed! A rabbit went hopping off, to check out the produce market for sales on plants and other garden materials this afternoon, and you will never believe the horror that the bunny had in her paws, when she came hopping back! She had a SACK! A sack to be used for goodie bag construction! There is just one sack right now, because she wanted to get the opinions of all of her fellow rabbits on it first, but they all seemed thrilled with it, so they're probably going to get a group together tomorrow, to hop back, to get the rest of the sacks they need to the goodie bags. I am doomed! Obtaining sacks mean those bags are definitely going to be constructed, which means those rabbits are definitely going to try to make me work! And even worse, the sacks are very reasonably priced, which means the bunnies will likely be able to purchase garden supplies with the savings!

Halloween Success
I'm very sorry to announce that Betsy has declared this Halloween a complete success, which means that many children will be trotting to their school guidance counselors on Monday, in search of help to recover from the trauma of their robberies. Those poor, poor children. And apparently they all visited the churches' candy fests too, before trotting over here, so their sacks, pillowcases and plastic pumpkins were quite full when they arrived. Needless to say, Betsy soon relieved them of all of that. If any parents are reading this, you can drop by tomorrow to pick up the remains. Pillowcases will be hanging from the fence by the egg gourds. Please see the rabbits if you're looking for a plastic pumpkin.

Continuing Novel Horrors Day 1
Oh, and after the human cranks out her required word count for the day for the rabbit story, she's planning to work on a teddy story set at Christmas and involving Santa! Have you ever heard of something so dangerous? Betsy's already making noise about taking a trip to drop in on poor Santa for story research. Really, what in the world is the human thinking? We will end up on Santa's bad list for sure if the human lets that bear visit him and raid his sack for book purposes. Isn't it bad enough what she did to him last Christmas just for fun?

Power Failure
The power at the country cottage has been cut or if they haven't got around to turning the lights up there off yet, they surely will soon. The power company had a meeting for all of their happy customers this morning, followed by a meal, each individual lunch all tucked in a convenient sack. Unfortunately for this poor power company, the location where they chose to have this was along the route the humans chose to take while returning their allergic relative home. And in even worse news, it was right by a church sale known for good deals that the human just had to stop at. Betsy Bear was in the car, and I think you can safely guess what happened. What do you think the electric company can do to punish us besides cutting the lights? The trunk was full of empty sacks when that bear returned.

The Mailman
As if it isn't bad enough that the library is amusing itself supplying the rabbits and Betsy with sacks, now the mailman has taken to contributing to their sack stash too. He lagged a bright, shiny new green sack to the door today for them. Really, what IS he thinking? I ought to let a cucumber vine get him just for doing something so horrible. Those bunnies will use those sacks for gathering more vegetables than I want to think of and as for Betsy, well, isn't it illegal to supply her with the tools of her snitching trade?

New Threat
I'm facing the threat of being potentially drug to the country this weekend. I managed to get out of it last weekend due to that human getting her allergies messed up but they sound serious about going this weekend. Do you think I have enough time to scatter enough fur on her pillow to trigger sneezing attacks and thus staying at home? Thanks to the library, Betsy has an abundance for sacks of snitching purposes, and I shudder to think of what she's going to do with them.

Sacks
The rabbits got their paws on more sacks from the library today. And to make matters worse, they saw on the form that the person can actually listen to a book in lieu of reading it. They're hopping about the house right now, trying to corner me and force me to listen to books, so they can then make a list for me to collect sacks too! Help! They checked out Bad Kitty, Bad Kitty Gets a Bath and Click, Clack, Moo to force me to listen to!

Books
The library is totally to blame for this. Their free sack giveaway is seriously encouraging the bunnies and Betsy Bear, who all want sacks for various vegetable and snitching crimes. And now they're wanting to get ME involved. It was bad enough when they were demanding I lag their little forms down there to turn in to collect sacks for them, but now they're wanting me to read a few books as well, so I can qualify for sacks as well! And of course, they're taking for granted that I will then let them put these sacks to use for their own purposes. So annoying, and they've even started gathering books to force me to read! On the up side, though, I suppose a book might be a nice distraction from watching the garden grow and take over.
