Sorry for the New Year's Shrieks
We hope the shrieking last night didn't disturb anyone unduly. We have some hopes that the sounds of fireworks muffled it a bit, but really, with how much Brother was shrieking we're not sure it was enough to drown him out. He was in rare form, is all that we can say, and just because we found a way for the human to get a few free books, and because we've been encouraging her to engage in a bit of lovely reading. He are really getting concerned for the health of the phone based on the number of texts he sent, demanding to know why he was hearing so many tappings of page turning, and why was so much reading taking place, and what were we plotting. Very, very annoying, and we think he might have heard about that library event we took part in too, because he was ranting about libraries as well, and how they were dens of rabbit encouragement, and he would see them in court for such awful behavior. Anyway, we thought we better warn you, we got the human another free book just a bit ago, so the shrieks will probably start again soon. Please protect your ears accordingly.

Continuing Book Shrieks
We're sorry for the continuing shrieks about the evil of books. We really hope it isn't disturbing anyone unduly. We found a few more lovely book deals, plus a lot of good stuff at the library and Brother is pitching a fit. Honestly, at the rate he is going, we are expecting phone damage at any moment, with all of his messages about why is he hearing so much turning of pages, and for us to get our paws away from the library and off of those books right away, and we better not dare give them to the human and encourage her. We just hope he doesn't find out that we're taking part in another library display this month. If he found out about that the phone would be doomed for sure!

Sorry for Last Night
We're very sorry about the kitty shrieks last night. We hope they didn't disturb anyone's sleep. We found fifteen books in a series the human loves and purchased them for her, since the price was absolutely wonderful. Fifteen books for fourteen dollars! Isn't that great? We really thought it was, but Brother disagreed, and every time we thought he had settled down, he was texting us again with complaints about the number of books, and how many pages they have, and the estimated time to read them and demanding to know what we are up to that we need the human to be that occupied with reading. Really, we hope he didn't keep anyone awake. We bought the books nice and early too, but you wouldn't know that from the hours he was ranting at.

Too Bad
We just made a few lovely purchases of books starring kitties. It really is a shame that that rotten brother isn't here to read them. We will just have to enjoy all of the kitty books instead. And we are sorely tempted to write to the kitties starring in these books to let them know that their fellow feline is not raising a paw to purchase their works, unlike his hardworking, polite rabbit siblings. Maybe the book kitties would want to be our friends! Wouldn't that be wonderful?

Points
We earned enough points to get the human another book certificate today, and Brother is not happy. He says more reading will only lead to looser supervision of us, and he will then be expected to take up the slack. Little does he know that we have also found a certificate to get the human free tv shows, so we might not be watched at all very, very soon!

Human Books
Brother isn't happy, but we are, as we just earned the human a lovely, giant book certificate. We still don't understand why he objects so much to our earning books for her. We even got a great deal on a book full of ideas for kitty snacks once. Shouldn't he be our best friend forever for arranging the purchase of this volume?

Helping the Human
In addition to complaining about the movies we watch, now Brother is complaining once more about hearing us clicking on the computer, and helping the human earn free books. We just ordered another 25 dollars worth of book certificates, and you should have heard the resulting kitty shouts that resulted as we clicked order. We don't know why Brother objects so to the books. Some of the books the human gets star kitties. Shouldn't Brother approve of the human reading such literature?

Books and Yarn
We're getting text messages like crazy from Brother, complaining about all of the book earning he is hearing, and how if we don't stop at once, he will turn us in to the authorities. We're not sure what authorities he suspects will be interested in this. We know our leader, the Easter Bunny, highly encourages this sort of thing, and we're sure Santa does too, to save sleigh space. And, to make matters worse, that cat is refusing to tell us where he stashed the brown yarn so we can get to work making hats for our outdoor bunny friends!

Even Worse
Oh, and as if isn't bad enough that the bunnies are being rewarded for using their feet and bringing the human good luck, in the car on the way home they reminded the human of one of her cousins with connections to the book industry. And that they would bet anything that this relation would just love to help the human get all of her books published! So now the human is planning to contact the relative right away. Oh, I sense disaster. Talking about the books will only lead to publishing books, and talking to a relation will only lead to potential growth of that awful family tree! A double dose of horror!

Saturday so Far
I haven't been captured and drug to the country so far, but the bunnies are clustered in the human's room, lounging on the bed with her, so they'll be conveniently located to agree that it would be a wonderful idea to go up there to stay, should the human bring it up. I see nothing but disaster resulting from those bunnies being so close, and probably sleeping with the human. I'm sure they're whispering ideas for stories in her ears, which can only lead to more writing and publishing. Which can only lead to visits to the COUNTRY! I knew they were working to get up there!

Book Disaster
Oh, this is horrible! As if this week hasn't been bad enough, now this happens to totally top things off. The human just sent off one of her books to a potential illustrator to see if it might be something she thinks she could do. An illustrator, almost the last step before publishing, and just a bit away from selling! Selling, which is what those bunnies are planning to force me to assist with! Why did I ever get out of bed this week?

Tomato Festival
The bunnies are already making plans for the tomato festival this year, and it is over five months away! Oh, this means trouble, I am sure of it. The bunnies feel certain the human will have a book ready for selling purposes by then, which means she will need a booth at the tomato fest. A booth! If the human gets a booth at this awful event it means she will want to be there for both days, and of course she won't want to come back here and then have to drive back, which means she will head for the country cottage! I will be forced at the least to go to the cottage, if the bunnies don't think of something worse to force me to do! And who knows what other events they could find in the country, to attend, and to force me to the country cottage for? I'm doomed!

More January Issues
Yes, I absolutely have to trade this month. Now I have a problem with the squirrel, that I'm sure won't end well. The bunnies happened upon a story by their beloved bunny author, starring a squirrel, and of course they just had to present a copy to their squirrel buddy, to encourage him to become literate. He's tucked into his tree right now, looking it over, and the bunnies are sure it will lead to a lifetime of reading for him. And what if it leads to the squirrel getting a library card? Goodness knows that library isn't selective about who they give those little things to. No good can come of that squirrel becoming a reader. Like my siblings, he will just get his paws on books about seed and the planting of seed. That can only lead to disaster! Really, how much longer is this month going to last, and how much worse will it get?

Book Horrors
The human heard back from the human she's asking about artwork for those frightening books of hers. I don't know if I should hope that this works out or not. True, the books might distract my siblings from their plans to force me to wear headgear, but what if getting the books finally together provides encouragement for them? Betsy Bear plays a rather prominent role in those children's books, and goodness knows that bear doesn't need any encouragement.

Bunny Book
The human went to a store today, and what did she come home with but a book, all about the bunnies' beloved bunny author's works. Such an annoying looking book, with bunnies all over the cover. The rabbits were very pleased with it, though, and now they're all clustered around, looking at it, and it's big enough that several bunnies can check it out at once. And even worse, it has crafts in it, bunny related crafts! You know they're going to want to make all of those, and I'm sure they're going to try drafting me to assist!

Hatted Again
I was innocently napping, when I was pounced on, and hatted again this afternoon. After much studying of me, my siblings have concluded that the hat looks best draped jauntily over one ear. So, I can look forward to spending my holiday with a sibling pouncing on me every time I turn around, and poking the hat on. Maybe I ought to offer to help them with their evil plans for getting their books published. They're looking for an illustrator now, you know. Perhaps if I could get them occupied with that, it would distract them from poking headgear on me!

Horror is Here
The horror is here, I'm very sorry to say. Both of those family reunion books have arrived, and the human is thrilled with them, which I'm sure is a terrible sign. One of them even has a section on the horrors of the goodie bag, which will surely give her bad ideas, and will lead to a ton of stuffing work for me. Really, what were the authors of these books thinking, writing something so frightening, and then actually selling copies to my human?

Upcoming Sogginess
My poor fur. I'll have to have it dry-cleaned, I'm sure. The human just found out that over a thousand children are attending that reenactment tomorrow, which seems like it might bode well for the weekend crowd. She's sure all of her books would sell, and she would probably get orders for more, too, and now she can't go. She tears up every time she thinks about it, which is murder on the fur. I wonder if I should demand the bunnies hop out to purchase a rain coat for me? And even worse, if all of those books sold, think of the money that I could then figure ways to get my paws on! Now I'm getting depressed over this situation!

Saving Myself Phase One
Phase one of my plan to save myself from being forced to spend Labor Day laboring to insert a bunch of coils into books has begun. The human got everything together, and was happily anticipating working on her books today, to have them ready to have holes punched for coil insertion tomorrow. Well, I tossed a monkeywrench into that! I sabotaged her ink! It conked out on her, before she could get past her first page of printing. Really, it was my most brilliant idea ever, if I do say so myself. Now if I can just figure out how to prevent the purchase of more ink, I will be golden. Oh, and if I can just prevent the monkeys from wandering by to ask where their wrench went, that would be good too.

Et Tu, Walmart?
Walmart has joined all of the other businesses around on my need to sue list. The human went there today, and they sold her eight packs of shiney paper to print out horrible genealogy materials for book purposes. She is planning to do an edit tomorrow, and arrange things a bit better before getting right to work on printing. And printing can only lead to binding, and coils needing to be inserted. Which can only lead to work for ME! Walmart should be ashamed!
