Possible Cat Brother Sighted

The human was poking around online as she thinks she has spotted Brother.  The feline she thinks is him is one of those cats who loiters at Burger King and the pizza place who did such a foul job of maintaining their parking lot that they crippled our poor human, so we're more than a bit suspicious that this kitty could be him too.  But how to organize a Brother hunt while trying to save our poor turkey brother from Betsy?

Have a Plan

We have a plan to find our turkey brother.  The more we think about it, the surer we are that Betsy has him tied up some place.  But if she plans to make him her Thanksgiving dinner, she will first have to stuff him.  So we are going to stake out the box of stuffing.  When she grabs it, then we just have to follow her back to our imprisoned brother and rescue him.

Still no Sign

Still no sign of our turkey brother.  We are starting to fear Betsy has him tied up some place with plans to stuff him for her Thanksgiving dinner.  But how can we find and rescue him?  That's the problem.

Snow

It snowed today, preventing us from launching a hunt for our turkey brother.  Really, we're not sure what could have happened.  He is short for a turkey, so we're not sure how he could have reached the door knob and fled outside.  Okay, he does have wings, but he's terrible at flying so we doubt he did that.  So thinking about it now, we're not sure if he's fled the house, or is in here somewhere, in a very good place, trying to avoid Betsy.

Still Missing

Still no sign of our turkey brother.  We thought he might be hiding in the house, keeping out of sight of Betsy, but we've looked and looked and we can't find him.  We are becoming very concerned and are thinking of hopping out tomorrow to hang up lost turkey signs.

Missing Turkey

We're very worried.  Our turkey brother is missing, and thinking back on it, we last saw him around the time that Betsy was going on about how she wants a big TURKEY dinner for Thanksgiving!  We're afraid she frightened him, and he has now ran away from home!  How can we find him?  Do you think we should call the teddy adoption center to beg them to put out an alert?

Turkeys

We have found another advantage to Brother's current absence.  The turkeys who rent the pool house to avoid Thanksgiving have been sending in their money to pay for their spaces.  We've got quite a stack of little envelopes stuffed full of cash, and all of the payments aren't in yet, either.  And since Brother isn't here, all of this money will be going to US!  We bet he didn't think of that when he was dodging being recaptured.  Now we have a pile of money!  And we think a seed catalogue might have shown up in the mail.  Perhaps we will put this money to good use planning next year's garden!

Turkeys

We hope that everyone has heard of the lovely new turkey film that will be airing in a few weeks.  Our turkey brother is planning to go, and naturally we want to attend this movie as well.  We're expecting the theater to be packed to the rafters with turkeys, so we're probably going to have to camp out to get a seat.  So many turkeys, and they'll all be looking for a good hiding place for the day of turkey terror that is Thanksgiving.  Brother usually handles renting the pool house to them, but since he's deserted, we believe we will manage it, and we'll hand out little business cards too.  We bet we can get more turkey renters than Brother ever managed and more money!  Hehehehehehehe!  We can almost hear him shrieking now!

24 Hours

Twenty-four hours until the disaster and ruination of commercial retail strikes. The bunnies are seriously stretching now, in ways even I as a cat and expert stretcher find alarming as part of their warm-up effort. I hope all of the stores doubled their insurance is all that I can say. As for me, I will be spending this nightmare safely hidden with my turkey renters, far away from any blame for shoppers scattered by racing rabbits.

Novel Horrors Day Twenty-One

The human was feeling a bit better this morning, which doesn't bode well for our neighbors. The bunnies have sent invitations out to all of their little rabbit friends for a party to celebrate the novel's completion. I can't even begin to imagine the disaster it will be for our neighbors to have that many rabbits, all hopping around, partying, and I'm sure they'll want to do some gardening too. That always seems to be a popular activity at bunny parties. And what about the turkeys? I have the pool house rented out to a flock of turkeys hiding here to avoid that awful holiday next week. They're sure to have issues with a loud party going on right in front of their rental!

Novel Horrors Day Four

The human's about to get right to work on her horrible writing so I figure I figure I should update while I can. The bunny book is progressing according to plan, which is naturally making the rabbits happy. That doesn't bode well for our poor neighbors. And, in even worse news, the human has found that some people are working on more than one novel for this month, which is giving her horrible ideas. Really, will the horrors never end? I'm just glad my turkey renters are arriving to check into the pool house tomorrow. They'll keep my mind off of the writing horrors.

Hallalujah!

Hallalujah, the church decided to go with a beef stew dinner instead of that horrible turkey meal they were thinking about! I am now totally safe to go about my business with those turkeys who are coming in to rent a hideout here without worries about what the human might be up to. And the cows quite frankly are too concerned about the rabbits attempting to get their manure to worry about dinners. For once that church seems to be cooperating with the best interests of the cat!

Church Dinner

Oh, this is terrible. Bad enough that the human was supposed to provide pies for the dinner the church is holding, but now she thinks she might be called upon to organize the entire thing! It's a turkey dinner! I am expecting a flock of turkeys in to rent out the pool house come October. How in the world am I going to explain to them if they arrive here to find her making tickets and organizing food for a turkey dinner? What if they decide to boycott?

The New Beans

The new beans have been seeded and are drying a bit before planting. Honestly, the rabbits should be so ashamed of themselves, gathering all of this stuff. And they're hoping to plant it in the next few days, too, to get a second run of beans in! Have you ever heard something so horrible? These new beans are called turkey beans, so I suppose they're going to try to draft our turkey brother into assisting with them or something.

Tuesday Cucumber Update

The bunnies moved another bowl of cucumbers outside this afternoon, and they're planning to fill the bowl with more seed in just a little bit. Does anyone know if planting in excess of 200 cucumber plants is illegal? I expect the bunnies to have that many out soon. I don't even want to think of the pumpkin stuff they moved outside as well. I hope my turkey tenants don't notice those plants when they come to rent this fall, is all that I can say.

Ethical Issue

I have a serious ethical problem. Last Thanksgiving, I rented out the humans' poolhouse to a group of turkeys fleeing from what is for turkeys a day of terror. They really liked the property and the good rate they got, so they're already booked in for this Thanksgiving with a deposit paid. Now, I just found out, my human is working on a TURKEY dinner that the church is holding! How in the world am I going to hide her horrible activities from my turkey tenants? Honestly, I don't know what in the world she was thinking, offering to help with a meal of turkey when she knows I do business with turkeys! What if she serves up one of my tenants' relatives?
