Horrible, Horrible Day

Well, besides being forced to work by the rabbits, they have decided to try to take over feeding me again. Really, isn't that illegal, allowing a batch of devoted vegetarians to feed and try to convert an innocent kitty? There was a bean on my plate today. Really, a BEAN! At least it was short, but it was green and sort of slimy looking. And, of course, the bunnies were all clustered around, expecting me to eat the horrible thing. If such activities aren't illegal, then they should be!

Graduation Report

That cousin who had the nerve to graduate should be arrested, is all that I can say. The human managed to get into an extensive genealogical discussion while attending this reunion, and now she is hot on the trail of a coveted family Bible. I'm sure no good can come of her finding that book. Oh, and in even worse news, the rabbits got their hands on two large bags of beans as well. I expect to have to go into hiding, as soon as the bunnies come hopping back, or I might be forced into assisting them with planting these seeds.

Beans Today

The rabbits have had their first bean harvest and it's been happily cooked up. Honestly, the beans they got were so alarming, wax beans and half runner beans and royal burgandy beans have been gathered so far, and that is nowhere near all of the beans that were planted. I don't even want to think of the black-eyed peas that are coming in. These things can't be served at tea parties, right?

The New Beans

The new beans have been seeded and are drying a bit before planting. Honestly, the rabbits should be so ashamed of themselves, gathering all of this stuff. And they're hoping to plant it in the next few days, too, to get a second run of beans in! Have you ever heard something so horrible? These new beans are called turkey beans, so I suppose they're going to try to draft our turkey brother into assisting with them or something.

Tomato Festival Today

The tomato festival should be ASHAMED! They let my delinquent rabbit siblings actually obtain produce this afternoon! The bunnies came hopping back with alarmingly large Mr. Stripey, Cherokee Purple and Pink Tomatoes, along with a large amount of turkey beans and a habenaro pepper. I shudder to think of how many seeds they will get out of their purchases, which is just why they purchased them. Really, does the country have to assist the bunnies in their delinquency? Or maybe it's a plot to keep them here and safely out of the hair of the poor Farmers Turley?

The Beans Part 2

The Beans are looking even better today, and the rabbits think the Royal Burgandy or possibly the Cherokee Wax ones are sprouting now. Honestly, how much worse can this situation get? They have over 1000 beans planted! I shudder to think of what things will be like come harvesting time, which, honestly, given how fast these things seem to be sprouting and growing might be way sooner than I would like to think about.

The Beans

The beans are sprouting, I am very sad to announce. The rabbits hopped out this morning, and as far as they can tell, the black beans, either mung or adzuki beans, white half runner beans, greencrop beans and they think the great northern beans are sprouting so far, and they're anticipating the other beans following rather quickly. And, in even worse news, the rabbits have decided that the black bean sprout is rather attractive. They're thinking of buying a pound just so they can enjoy its looks! I wonder how many beans might be in a pound? I think they're making plans to sign me up for picking when these things start producing beans!

The Beans Were Planted

The bunnies planted their beans today, along with digging more to extend one of their beds. They're thinking they will dig a bed for corn tomorrow. Here's what they poked out for beans: 200 mung beans, I would guess 200 black beans, 100 black eyed peas, alias cow peas, 100 great northern beans and 100 adzuki beans, 50 of pinto beans, 150 of white half runners, probably 50 soybeans, four packs of royal burgundy beans which probably amounts to 60+ beans, two packs of Cherokee Wax beans, which were probably 30+ beans and a pack of greencrop beans which was probably 15 or so beans. They've poked over a thousand beans out there if my math is correct. Oh, those rabbits should be so ashamed! And they're already implying that I ought to help them with the picking of these beans too.

Bad News About the Beans

The beans, the ones from that pound of beans that the store foolishly sold to the rabbits, well, those things are starting to sprout! What am I going to do? The bunnies are gloating and hopping about the house, planning to put the rest of the pound in a bag for sprouting purposes tomorrow! The mung beans are sprouting too, and I believe they said the black beans. The food co-op should be so ashamed of themselves but they're probably just gloating since the bunnies mentioned hopping back down there in the next day or so to stock up on more stuff.

Flipping their Lids!

The lids are off of all of the plants except a couple of the flowers! They were holding too much moisture in and some plants spoiled, so all lids are off except the ones on the cosmos and morning glories due potential poison issues. What am I going to do? All of those horrible, horrible, squash, pumpkin, cucumber, zucchini, watermelon and beans are looking at me suspiciously and I just know that now that they aren't safely locked under their little lids that they're going to get going full force with their plan of conquest! What am I going to do? Only a screen is holding them back from getting into the yard and heading for our poor, unsuspecting neighbors!

Beans

The bunnies swear that those horrible beans are preparing to spout! Granted, they haven't actually saw any roots popping out yet, but they swear they saw signs of sprout starting. How worried should I be? They have a ton of beans in their little bags and despite their claims, I'm not sure at all that beans don't have the potential to become vicious! Five rabbits have already hopped into the car, and I just know they're going to find new, even more delinquent beans to plant.

Bean Sprouts

Some of the bean sprouts moved to a bowl just a bit ago, and the bunnies promptly replaced them with some of the mixed beans they got at the store. I don't know what I'm going to do if those things start to sprout, I really don't. It should be illegal to sell a pound of ANYTHING to a bunny, but especially to sell them a pound of seed. My only comfort is that I don't believe beans are as aggressive as the other seed the bunnies have, and might possibly not capture the innocent, neighboring kitties, or cause the neighbor's grandson or some of his friends to vanish forever into their viney depths. Or are they safe? I think I better look up the new beans fast!

More Alarming Seed Developments

More alarming seed developments here. The sweet basil is sprouting, along with the kohlrabi, and the fennel is looking highly suspicious to me. I don't even want to think about the beans. I knew that one bean seed that sprouted would lead to more alarming growth! Does anyone have any suggestions about how I can work out the average speed of the squash or zucchini vine in comparison to the average speed of a feline? I have some friends around here who I'm rather concerned about, thinking about their chances of escaping the bunnies' plants. And they're trying to work out more seed to start too! They brought home little, lidded salad bowls today to fill with dirt and transfer seedlings to! Then they can reuse the baggies to start more seed!
