Excellent Hotel
We're still at that lovely hotel, as the kitty shrieks probably let you know. Really, this place is absolutely fabulous, and the human is totally in love with it, and wants to come back soon. Which explains the increasing volume of the kitty shrieks. Sorry about that. The only problem is that they foolishly offer room service here. We were forced to hide the menu before Betsy could get her paws on it, and place a truly alarming amount of orders. Anyway, we're truly enjoying ourselves. The humans left us here today while they were visiting their ill relation so we got to spend the day snoozing on the beds between watching a giant variety of garden shows on television. We really are sorry about the shrieks that resulted from that. Brother never wants us to have fun.

Sorry
We're very sorry about the shrieking today. We hopped off with the humans to check on that ill relation, and we happened to spot a new homeless shelter that we hope might have some teddies in need of new homes. We plan to visit them tomorrow. We've also found the most wonderful hotel! The human is absolutely in love with it. Our room is huge, the bed is so fluffy and soft and the pillows look like they'll be perfect for our big ears. Brother isn't taking it well, although we aren't sure what in the world he finds so objectionable about a wonderful hotel, unless it's maybe the fact that they allow bunnies and not his kind in here. And really, with his behavior, can you blame them? He's making all kitties look awful!

Humans Have Returned
The humans are back, and unfortunately, Betsy returned with them. She smells suspiciously of honey, syrup and waffles. I'm sure she robbed the hotel the humans camped out at last night. My only comfort is that the human says it wasn't too crowded, so maybe not many people managed to loose their free breakfasts. I hate to think of those poor mountain bears, though. The human encountered another cousin at the cemetery, and got to talking genealogy. The bear had hours to run wild! Oh, and while she was out, the human developed some new, horrifying ideas for the family reunion, too. She's going to start work on that tomorrow. I just know that will lead to nothing good.

To The Mountain Bears
If any mountain bears are reading this, and with all of those hotels up there with wifi, I don't know why would wouldn't be, I thought you should know that your doom is fast approaching. The human's been making alarming mentions of getting the flower bin from the attic, in anticipation of cemetery visits, and you know Betsy will be trotting along for this. As you should well know, the human is very distractable in cemeteries so I wouldn't count on Betsy being supervised at all. Perhaps you could check into a hotel for the weekend to hide? She might not think of looking for you there, and there are coupons on practically every corner for rooms. Oh, and cubs stay free, if that helps some of you make up your mind to flee to the safety of a nice hotel.

Snowing
It's snowing here, and needless to say, I am alarmed. The teddies are flipping through hotel brochures looking for places that we can go if the power fails, and I don't like the way they keep talking about lagging me along. What in the world am I going to do if I end up confined to one small room with my siblings for days? And the bunnies are trying to argue that we should go ahead and flee so that the human's ability to novel isn't interrupted. What if I'm trapped in the same room with her while she's writing? I'll be declared an accessory to her novel related crimes for sure! And what about Betsy Bear? I'm sure that being in the same hotel as that bear and a breakfast buffet is just asking for trouble.

Poor Kentucky
I would like to offer my sincere apologies first to the hotel that my siblings stayed at last night and then to the poor state in general. The hotel had a lovely breakfast buffet, had, of course being the operative word. Those poor, poor desk clerks arrived this morning to find that all of their waffles had been snatched and their honey and porridge supplies completely cleared out. Then, to make matters worse, the bunny hopped off with all of their tea! I hope that hotel is insured, and I hate to imagine how the poor maid will react, having to remove so many honey stains from sheets due to Betsy eating in bed.
Then, to make things worse for the state, the human decided to start at an arts and crafts center on the way home. It's connected to a college, but that apparently hasn't helped too much, because they actually had bags full of wool there! The polar bear cubs had went along on this trip, so I think you can safely guess what happened. The place foolishly was offering fudge for sale too. I hope they weren't too upset to find that gone, and I'm afraid to mention the decorative gourds I heard of. I just know the rabbits tried to crack them open for seeds.

Continuing Novel Horrors Day Seven
In other horrors of the day, at least the human wasn't able to make it to her horrible gathering if accomplices due to a football game, which you would think would be good news, but I'm afraid it only gave her time to think and develop horrible ideas. She's attending a writing workshop next week, and thanks to her horrible thinking, she has now got some idea in her head about dropping by some place in person to try to sell one of her books. She thinks if they can just meet her, she's sure they'll want her teddy series, so she's making plans to email and see about trying to set up an appointment. And if she sets up an appointment, I just know I will be drafted to go along and supervise those teddies! Have you ever heard something so alarming, me trapped in a hotel with them, and you know what Betsy does at hotels. Isn't making a cat participate in such against some animal cruelty law?

Today's Cucumber Report
The cucumbers who moved outside yesterday are looking rather nice, I'm very sad to report. Many of the earlier ones have very nice second leaves according to the bunnies, and they expect the new additions to sprout second leaves soon. They're thinking of mixing something up to serve them a big Sunday dinner tomorrow. The zucchini is getting rather frightening as well, and third leaves are definitely visible. I try not to think of the pumpkin and the yellow squash. Oh, and the twelve larger tomatoes were poked out as well. I wonder if I need to see about a hotel for myself and my cat mom soon. I think it might be safer than staying here and a forced conversion to vegetarianism.

Mountains
Would you believe that the humans are staying at the hotel where my siblings amused themselves causing any amount of havoc during the quilt show? Honestly, didn't those people learn anything from that awful experience? Here they went and let the polar bears, the penguins, and worst of all, Betsy Bear, into their establishment again! I just hope that there's no one there who's attached excessively to their food because there will be nothing left once Betsy visits the breakfast buffet tomorrow.

The Mountains' Doom Approaches
I just got an email from my siblings, and they are about to depart for the mountains. Do you suppose it's a terrible sign that the bunnies found a place that offers reasonably priced, bunny sized shovels? There are 14 rabbits on this trip, and I shudder to think what they could do should they all have shovels! It's bad enough that Betsy cleared out the hotel honey supply at the graduation hotel.
